Los Dos Potrillos Mexican Restaurant - Highlands Ranch

For years, this has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for Fajitas in the South Metro.
This visit revealed 1/3 to 1/2 less Chicken, definitely not Breast meat. Their plate of fixins (beans, rice, cheese pico, sour cream & guac remains unchanged) and is still great.
Maybe they were training a new cook, we'll give it one more visit and report back.

Edgar is truly a gem and an absolute standout at Highlands Ranch! I cannot say enough wonderful things about the incredible experience he provided. From start to finish, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

I was waiting for a friend, and Edgar didn’t miss a beat—he made sure the food stayed warm, fresh, and ready at just the right moment. It’s rare to find someone so thoughtful and attentive, but Edgar’s kindness and dedication blew me away. He was so sweet, ensuring I felt completely taken care of while being patient and professional.

It’s experiences like this that make you fall in love with a place forever. Edgar has truly set the bar for exceptional service, and Highlands Ranch is lucky to have him. I’ll be singing his praises to everyone I know! Thank you, Edgar, for going above and beyond—you’re amazing! 💖

Place really went downhill. There was chicken skin in my friends burrito. They also gave us cold and congealed nacho cheese. We paid for sour cream and guacamole that we never recieved.

Staff is always friendly and we have not had a bad dish here. Give the green chili stew a shot if you like spicy food.

I dont like leaving negative reviews but this place has declined substantially. Too expensive and no actual fish in the fish burrito. Fish flavors..lol. Also like others fried cheese for a chili r. Floors were sticky and coated w cleaning solutions that wasn't mopped properly. Had better experience at chain texmex for about 100 bucks for well quality margs and 2 meals. I'm not going back.

We recently dined at Los Dos Portrillos. We had a party of 8. I requested that the table be ready so our party be seated immediately. My husband is disabled and I wanted him to be able to go right to his seat rather than have to stand. I was told by the hostess that no one could be seated until half my party was present meaning my daughter and I who were already there couldn't be seated. I asked to speak to the manager and explained the issue. She immediately had the table set and ready for my daughter and me so we could sit and wait for the others. The waitress then came by with bowls of guacamole and queso. We told her that we didn't order it but she said it was on the house! From then on, the waitstaff was fantastic, the food excellent and we were treated extremely well. Thank you all for going the extra mile to treat a family with a disabled member with great care and respect. Our visit was Saturday December 28, 2024.

Wouldn't serve my near-23 year old because of her government issued vertical drivers license. Ridiculous policy, regardless if it's company-wide or not. Salsa is excellent however.

Place is a tier above Chili's, and I am being generous. I've been here 4 times and have been disappointed each time. The food and drinks are mediocre and very overpriced. No real spice or flavor.

The service is remarkable every time.
