We were really looking forward to a date night—just a simple bruschetta board and bottle of wine. The restaurant runs a promotion twice a week offering both for $25 (normally $75, which would be outrageous). We paid our bill and I left an 18% tip, despite subpar service, thinking that was fair.
Later, I noticed the math didn’t add up—the final charge reflected a 54% tip. Confused, I asked the hostess on my way out, thinking it was a mistake in the system. She informed me that the tip is calculated based on the non-discounted price, not the actual total I was shown or charged. This was never disclosed to us.
When I expressed my concern—kindly—that this felt deceptive, she curtly replied, “I’m sorry, have a good night,” and walked away. No apology, no attempt to make it right.
Colorado law requires transparency in tipping practices, and this feels like a blatant violation. I’ll be reporting this to the Colorado Department of Revenue or a local consumer protection office so others don’t fall victim to this tactic.
It’s a shame, because the concept is great. But deceptive pricing, lack of disclosure, and poor customer service are deal-breakers. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this restaurant until they prioritize honesty and integrity.

I had a fantastic experience at Postino Highlands Ranch! The food is always delicious, and the vibe is trendy and welcoming. What truly stood out, though, was the customer-first mindset. The manager, Rachel, went above and beyond to ensure my online order was corrected, and it really shows how much they care for their guests. It’s clear that the team here is dedicated to providing excellent service. Highly recommend this spot – you won’t be disappointed!

Was here yesterday for happy hour. Patio was packed but lots of room inside.ordered a beer and a pitcher was delivered. Wow a 6.00 pitcher. Was 4 of us we all ordered prosciutto boards. Came out fast and were excellent. Me and wife had leftovers for dinner that night. For me best was sweet and spicy. Give it a shot was really good. Only issue was wife had trouble opening ladies room door was very heavy and difficult to open for a small lady
Had lunch at happy hour and the bruschetta were great!

Love when I order a chicken chop salad and it arrives with no chicken. My soup was also barely half full. Definitely not worth what I paid

Great food and service. Just too noisy!! And tables too close together. No privacy!

My soup container wasn’t even half full and my half salad was missing the chicken skewer I paid extra for. This plus a panini and salad is hardly a $50 meal. We typically really enjoy postinos when we are in town but we will likely not be back.
We’ve been to this postinos a couple of times, and each time the service hasn’t been the best. Not sure if they’re continually understaffed?
The bruschetta is generally always a 5/5. The grilled cheese however, is not worth it. Looking at the photos vs what you get is seriously disappointing.
Overall the happy hour is worth it.
