Tamales yum, but these will disappoint. Made with Masa Harina, a processed powdered corn product created to streamline tamales for the home. Yes instant tamales, rarely are the instant option better than the old school method, this is not a exception to that rule. The green chili and the enchilada sauce both appear to come from a can.

Love this little spot. Seems like a little family runs this, but I'm not entirely sure. It's not particularly great in the atmosphere department. Very mom-and-pop-ish. The same can be said for the food and the service. They are both top-notch. if you're looking for a consumer friendly, get whatever you want kind of Amazon experience, this is not your place. But if you want to eat somewhere where people are genuinely happy when you enjoy their food and are proud to make it, this is your place. It's so nice to find a little restaurant with folks who seem to really take pride in their food and want to make you happy. It certainly does for me.
