Nice little diner. Always great for breakfast and one can drop in and have a bite to eat and some coffee. Staff are always nice. Have had many breakfasts here over the years!

It's a older motel but for the most part was comfortable needs curtains and the room I was in the shower head was no good couldn't get a good shower
I miss this place built the school behind it and we would go there daily
Fantastic food here.
We stopped in after a long night's journey traversing the neverending plains of Kansas and Missouri. It was time for breakfast but not just any breakfast. Us 3 wearey travelers needed a breakfast akin to Elvish Lembas that will "keep a traveler on his feet for a day of long labour, even if he be one of the tall Men of Minas Tirith". And thus we found Prairie Vista Cafe.No this isn't a flashy diner with a chrome outside exterior. No this isn't a diner that has franchise marketing or corporate design. This diner has exactly what you need. Breakfast burritos. Dearest reader, don't shy away from the burrito - this isn't like other burritos. Expertly crafted, this artful organization of savory chorizo, perfectly cooked eggs, melty cheese, and your choice of sausage, eggs, or bacon all tightly wrapped in a filling and surprisingly eatable package. Chipotle, the false gods of the burrito themselves, consistently miss a critical requirement of an authentically crafted burrito - eatability. Do you think you could eat a Chipotle burrito while driving? There's no way - if you said yes, you are lying to yourself. Prairie Vista cafe makes true burritos. Tightly wrapped in a sturdy tortilla with a gentle deli wrap around the base - these energy packed wraps will survive mobile consumption so that you can get on your way and continue your journey with a full stomach. As we near the end of our journey towards the great mountains of Colorado, I can't help but look to the East and think remorseful, longing thoughts about Prairie Vista and their burritos. Almost a nostalgia for the graceful ballet my taste buds danced this morning. But alas, as an Ohioian, my dances are limited. If I'm lucky, my travels might lead me to encounter Prairi Vista 2 maybe 3 more times in my short time on this beautiful planet. Would I have been better off? In the ignorance of my naive perception of what great burrito is before today? No, no I think not. Will every burrito I eat in my remaining years be dwarfed in quality by Prairie Vista. Yes....yes it will. But that's life. And if you're reading this, I explore you to take the leap, Carpe diem, and try the burrito.

Great breakfast! Rooms are reasonably priced, it's a old motel been here since I was young (80's) so don't expect a 5 star room. Looks like they try hard to upkeep the place. The water had great pressure and very hot, has a microwave and newly redone shower. Has everything we need on our stay.

Good food
Very friendly staff. I just arrived into the area and they were really responsive of getting me a room for the night. Roadside inns have so much wonderful flare about them. To improve this place even further, curtains need to be added to the blinds and a front door that does not feel like particle board. Great little adjoining cafe for breakfast; sit back and hear the sounds of the local folk. Would stay here again.
Awesome food!
This would be a Great place to turn tbe opetation into a Boutique Motel!
Everyone has a favorite restaurant that he or she loves to eat at. The best restaurant to go to in Altoona is The Olive Garden. This peaceful place has the most delicious food for all the Italian food lovers out there. The Olive Garden is the most exquisite place to eat and is truly the finest restaurant in town.Every time I walk in to the Olive Garden I obtain the best feeling. No matter how many times I come, I always love to observe what is around me. Each and every comforting smile the employees have on their faces and the soft Italian music playing, always makes me feel relaxed. When I breathe in the aroma of the Italian food, it always reminds me of how hungry I am. The uniquely textured walls produce a smooth yet flowing look. It is almost as I am in a famous building in Italy. The viny plants that clasp to the walls ever so freely give it a natural appearance. The marble tiled floor beneath me gives the restaurant a clean yet warm appearance. The host's kind and gentle eyes look at their customers and politely ask for the number of the party attending and the smoking preference they prefer. They have soft cushion seats that let my body sink right down in them. I always notice the quiet atmosphere around me. This makes everyone's mood ever so noticeable. The Olive Garden always seems to have the most friendly customers. The windows that surround the tables present an open feeling, almost as if I was eating outside. When the food is brought, I can always feel the chilled salad plate being handed to me. The crispy garden salad that is lightly coated with ranch dressing and not to mention those thin, round, red onions that I particularly dislike. Somewhere around me there always lay a deep burgundy color glass of the Red Wine, or a soft pale crystal like glass of White Zinfandel. I can always smell the hot bread sticks, which lay patiently beside the creamy ways.
