Very bland, sweet pork is just sweet, no other notes. What is the white sauce? Margaritas were very artificially flavored. We couldn’t finish eating our burritos or Marg’s. Go to QDoba across the street. Good for kids who don’t like flavor or spice.

There's one simple reason for giving 5 stars - BIG portions! My eyes got bigger when I saw how much sweet pork they put in my wife's burrito, and my beef nachos were piled high. The nachos would have really benefitted from some pico, but it wasn't offered. The guacamole was quite good and so was the flavored sour cream, and the salsa wasn't bad. I did enjoy the nachos, but will order something else next time. My wife said the sweetness of the pork started to bother her before too long, so she too would order something else. Still, our overall impression was good, and we would like to give Cafe Mexicali another try.
I was in there today to get an order to go and also yesterday for an order for two people. Today there was an Asian gallon of green T-shirt that was very smug and ungrateful and had a disgusted look on her face and said not a word to me and same with the gal I believe she was in a rust colored T-shirt at the cash wrap. Customer Service is of ultimate importance right now and neither one of those females do justice to that restaurant

Someone once told me, if you go a Mexican restaurant and there's no Mexican's, turn around and leave. This place is that. The food is boring and bland, slopped together in a tin dog bowl by young self entitled white kids that couldn't care less. I would argue that its actually worse than Chipotle or Qdoba. Based on the patrons, the same people, dressed in the same clothes, driving the same cars, ordering the same food, there's no wonder why it has no flavor or creativity. Flavorless and boring.

The only thing on my order that was hot was the queso everything else was way under food safe temperatures for hot holding. Get it together before you guys get alot of people sick.
