Not quite the place it was two years ago. Heard restaurant is remodeling 1/6/25 and coming back as a BlackBear. Hopefully they can get back to what Johnson Corner used to be.

Their food is okay and I like to go there because they've been around so long. But I am so disappointed that they do not have enough staff. We went there on New Years to pick up an order. We waited there half an hour for them to come out and tell us they did not have what we ordered. So we had to leave and go to Domino's pizza for New Year's. You think with all the competition they are getting from Buc-ee's they would step up to the plate and add some competent people.

Yuck!
We were sat in the back room next to a table that had not been bussed/cleaned. It took about 10 min for the waitress to come over and take our drink order. Took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. It took forever to get our food and when it came out it wasn't even good. Our waitress never checked on us, not even once. No refill on our drinks. We spent an hour there and about 3 more tables left and not one of them had been bussed or cleaned. When we left the table next to us was still dirty! They really weren't that busy, so that's not an excuse. Seemed well staffed.
People had been done eating for a while and had to flag the waitress down for their bill.
First and last time at this joint.
I can't remember the last time I tipped 10%. It was that bad. I can't believe I just paid $60 for medicore food and bad service.
I took Sirloin Steak 🥩 comes with 2 sides so I ordered salads 🥗 and baked potatoes 🥔 and the dinner was good.
$18 after tax You can’t beat that.

I have never left a negative review. This is my first. I know times are tough. The food was not even mediocre, the fries cold and soggy. The restaurant was not busy at all. Service was not what it has been in the past. All around a poor experience.

Chicken fried steak is the best I have ever had. Light and crunchy and the meat inside is soft. Cooked to perfection. Gravy is really delicious smooth and not overly thick. I think having Bucky's down the road has hurt their business, but I will always choose Johnson's corner for breakfast and the cinnamon rolls. I still like having someone come over to the table I'm sitting at, taking my order and bringing my food to me. It's more personal.

Beware!!! Their cashier stole my CC information! On Dec 14 2024 I went in to make a purchase of exactly $103.10 at Register #43 at around 20:00. The cashier was Ellie Jaramillo. The next day as I’m in Montana no where near this location in Johnstown, CO I get another charge that was exactly identical to the first, the amount, location and store number all were the exact same. What this cashier is doing is stealing your card information then when they know you are long gone they ring up the same exact charge process a “refund” in cash and then pocket the money. I’ve been on the road for a long time now. I’m familiar with these scams just thought the TA Petro brand had handled this problem a while ago. I called the store and their solution told me they could not help me. I called the general manager and he refuses to return my calls. I did not want law enforcement involved however at this point there’s no other option. Any drivers who see this should steer clear. It’s not the amount of money it’s the concept we are constantly being ripped off out here. Boycott the fraudsters.
The food was pretty good. However, the service needs improvement by hiring more staff.
