We have never been here as we have always driven by, so we decided as we had our granddaughter with us taking her back home, we thought, why not. As we entered the doorways to this rusric western trading post, the waitress with green hair informed us to have a seat it was going to be a moment, so we did. The environment was clean, and as I looked around, the soda machine was out of order and the had a buffet serving station that was not in use,as the green haired waitress approaches...
Very disappointed. All towns are sooo far apart in this part of Colorado that my wife and I ended up driving a loop for hours through several small towns with only one or two restaurants… only to discover most are closed permanently. 6.5 hours since last Meal and we are NOT happy to discover it closed. Trip Advisor app shows it open for two more hours. Their posted hours are 7:00 - 2:00. We arrived at 1 o’clock to find it closed .
Love it. Yes they had no ice and were only serving burgers but who cares when the burgers are so bloody good. Drinks were cold enough and the lovely lady serving was so kind to the locals and not so locals. We wanted to split a burger and she brought it out on two plates for us. I heard her say they were hoping to get the repairs done in the next couple of days. What do you do when you’re out in the middle of no man’s land? A thousand times better than a franchise drive through!
