I would not recommend this processor to anyone, and may not use another processor in the future with the feeling they left me.
I had a small bull elk processed, I should have gotten near 100-110 pounds of meat. If not more. Back strap alone, was at least 14 pounds of back strap meat. They gave me not even 5 pounds- the package of steaks were .5# … hardly anything near a pound. I kick myself everyday that I gave this processor my back strap and sirloins
The owner has poor communication skills and comes across with a “know-it-all” attitude, which made the entire experience frustrating. Prices are much higher than others, and unfortunately the quality does not justify it. (Shout out to Steve’s Meats in Arvada, they’re worth top dollar)
The jerky I received was extremely dry and definitely not worth the extra cost. Worst of all, I’m left with the strong impression that some of my elk meat was either thrown away or kept by the processor, which is completely unacceptable. Very disappointing experience from start to finish.

I had them process 600+ lbs of bison and they did a great job. Glad that ground bison is vacuumed at 1ish lbs and is made with the bags you can tear open. Everything was packaged well. Had it driven from CO to SC in insulated bags and everything was 90% frozen when I got it 48+ hrs later.

The folks at Bountiful are just great honest people. I dropped off an Elk last week for processing. They did a great job processing the meat, were on time, and very professional. They also had limited waste if you bring them in good clean meat. So far we have eaten the burger and Italian sausage its its all great!Its great to know someone has freezer space available, willing to work to an expedited turn time (at extra cost) and be able to trust them. I highly recommend them.

My friend and I dropped an elk off for processing and when we picked it up we forgot to grab our game bags. We didn't realize this until we were already back in Ohio, we wrote them off as gone but a week after we returned home we received them in the mail. Bountiful shipped them back to us without us even saying anything, thats top notch in my book. Will use them again if we ever harvest an elk in that area. The facility was super clean and the workers were very friendly. Would recommend them to anyone.
