Stopped by during a trip from Denver to Taos and what a great spot! Tons of variety and high quality beer. Definitely worth the trip - will definitely return!

My husband and I have become weekend regulars at the Merman and have loved the beer, the people, the vibe. And, now….drumroll, please….they are making fabulous craft cocktails! I tried their Tequila Drink and I love it! It’s complex and smooth all at once. Craft beer is the first love here but the new cocktail menu definitely gives the Merman a fun, new twist!

A must-see spot in La Veta! This has to be one of the cutest and most welcoming breweries I’ve ever been to! They nailed the branding and colors. Can the owner come decorate my house!? The bright atmosphere and great patio option with amble seating is perfection! Doing a few dry months so I appreciated they had great non alcoholic beer and kombucha options! My mom had their new beer being released that day and she loved it! Great addition to La Veta!

Pleasant and attentive to what may be your personal taste among their numerous draught products, by questions to your preferences and samples of what sounds interesting to you. You may come for a beer.. but you will stay and return just to be part of the atmosphere of Friends!
Pub snacks are quite tasty. The beer is brewed onsite and is well conceived. Great variety. Service is walk up and very friendly. Great shady patio to enjoy your quaff. A real gathering spot in La Veta.

Talk about great beer in La Veta, Colorado. This brewery is doing it right giving names of brews that represents the area. My favorites are West Peak Ale (Pale Ale) and Friar John (Abbey Ale). We stopped to sample a few and grab a pizza and pretzel bites. All were very good, great atmosphere and great conversations. Take a look at the merchandise with the topographic maps, very cool! Will be back next year for more!

Stopped in for a brew. Nice bar seating. Met up with several from our camp area. Bartender was very nice. Let us sample a few. Also gave us area hiking hints. Sports on the big screen. Got a Margarita pizza that was huge and good. Shared with the folks at the bar. A table with screaming kids were there when we walked in, but left soon enough. So all good.

The beer was awesome, I loved the sour they have on the menu. The beer flight was 12$ and was definitely worth it. The bartender was super friendly, we also got the chips and salsa which was super yummy and probably one of the tastiest salsa's I've had in a while! Ambiance was super cute and very clean. They are also LGBTQ friendly which made my partner and I very happy:)
