The Parkside Art Gallery and Cafe

A very nice well-appointed place with beautiful artwork! I went in two days in a row to get an espresso which was terrific. Had a very nice conversation or two with the woman who was going Duty that day. I'll go back again.

There are very few places that instantly make you feel truly at home, but Anneke and Matthias have achieved this at Parkside Gallery. It's not stuffy at all, instead it's quite warm, welcoming, and even child friendly. I often have gone in with my baby (now toddler) son and drunk a latte there while chatting with the owners. Anneke and Matthias are the kind of people you want to adopt them as family, absolutely so geniune, caring, and loving. There is a sun-filled back room where I have gotten some computer work done previously, and a couch and large table in the main room for gathering with friends/family. Lots of truly beautiful and quality art from local artists there as well, but without the pressure. Highly recommend, just to swing by and get some coffee. I also should mention that there are some chairs and coffee tables outside in the summer if you would prefer to drink coffee next to the park. I'm not sure if they will do it this year, but they had live music on Sundays last year. They have been closed for the winter, but we are really looking forward to getting to see them again soon.

Parkside has a varied collection of works by artists from the La Veta region. Enjoyed browsing and chatting with the owners, who are friendly and helpful. They also have games, snacks, and drinks, including a delicious mango tea. It's a great place to visit and appreciate art.

I rarely give 5 star review but I really liked this place and the people. My nephew dropped in while doing a cross country motorcycle trip. We had coffee and bread pudding. The coffee was great. The people that ran the place are very nice and great hospitality. LOL even the customers were great. Love to take my wife one day.

What a great place to hang out and get some work done. They have coffee, tea, Italian soda, and good wifi. Also, a wide range of area artists are represented in the work for sale. The owner is very friendly and welcoming.

I love this place. The owners are kind,friendly and knowledgeable.This is an art gallery with local art that has variety. Well thought out, and designed. Amazing wood work, incredible paintings and a nice selection of art that is affordable and collectable while offering pieces that can be added to one's financial portfolio.Did I mention they have fantastic coffee?!

Great coffee, gluten-free cookies, and the most beautiful art covering the walls! Not to mention sweet Anneke, who served us and told us about all the local artists. We can hardly wait to get back!

The building itself is beautiful, but then combine the talent of the owners choosing the perfect pieces and artists….and you’ve got a win. And the iced frappe, amazing. A must see when stopping in La Veta.

Originally a saloon, opened Spring ‘22 by very tall blonde Holland- native sweetheart & husband. Cappuccino w thick cream & pumpkin bread, lovely. I would have love bacon or egg on a cheesy toasted whole grain bagel too (breakfast not happenin’ in LV)…Big table to sit in airy room with wonderful art of all kinds, a sunny spot in patio room and back deck and shaded cafe tables out front across from the park. Personable and hospitable and welcoming atmosphere. Nice find that Google hadn’t found yet!!

Love the art and the coffee! A must see in La Veta. Lots of cool art, not your usual stuff.
