Everything used to be amazing in Their bakery section
What the hect happened?!
Tastes like something I'd expect to come come out of a box with a 6 month shelf life.
Bakeries makes delicious baked goods with fresh quality ingredients.
This is no longer the case at Button Rock.
Cut corners.. expect your customer list to be cut. Bye

At first I was not going to do a review and was just going to keep my disappointment to myself because of my previous good experiences at Button Rock. However, after taking a bite, I felt I needed to share this. I apologize if I didn’t give you all a positive review before. Throughout the years, I’ve been able to get my myself to overlook high prices due to the quality of your product. I’ve brought many people there and have often scheduled early meetings there specifically because of your breakfast sandwiches—specifically the house made English muffins. Even though they are expensive, I usually think of them as being worth it compared to sandwiches you can get elsewhere. So, when I decided to get one this morning, I was really looking forward to the experience I’d come to expect. Only to come home and find that it was, what appeared to be, a store-bought English muffin. I was instantly disappointed. And I called to find out if there was some mistake made on the sandwich. Given that the price hadn’t changed, I assumed that there was no way I was being charged the same amount for a store-bought English muffin. But it turns out that, according to the person who answered the phone, they no longer make their English muffins in house. So, I can only assume they are from King Soopers or something. The person told me that they were sorry and hope I had a nice day. Nothing more. I assume that it was an awkward encounter and she did not know how to respond. So I don’t fault her on that. But, if it were me, I would have at least said something to the effect of, “Well come back in for a chocolate chip cookie or latke or something.” What I hope from giving this review is that you all will at a minimum let people know that you no longer have the house made English muffins and ask them if they want a homemade biscuit or something. It probably doesn’t seem like a big deal to some people. But, there’s a lot of people struggling now financially and otherwise. Buying an expensive sandwich is a luxury. Your value add as a bakery is that your baked goods are made in house. Please take that into consideration.

Tempeh chorizo burrito may be the best burrito I’ve ever had and I’m not even a vegetarian!

Used to be a nice spot to find some vegan baked goods, but it looks like they’re all gone now. They were great while they lasted.
We had sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches on brioche for the road trip to Santa Fe! Great seasoning in the sausage!

This bakery used to be our go-to spot for everything—whether it was sushi lunches, delicious breakfast sandwiches, or grabbing desserts, cakes, and cupcakes straight from the ready-to-eat counter. It had that special Button Rock quality that always felt a cut above.
Unfortunately, things have really changed. The ready-to-eat dessert counter is gone, which used to be the heart of the experience. No more grabbing a cupcake or a cake for special occasions. The breakfast sandwiches, once flavorful and unique, are now basic at best—missing the creativity and quality that set this place apart. And the entire gluten-free counter has disappeared, which was such a thoughtful option for those who needed it.
It’s disappointing to see a favorite spot lose the very things that made it stand out. Hoping they listen to their customers and bring back the quality, variety, and charm that made this bakery so special in the first place.

I used to love this place for cinnamon rolls and sticky buns. They have been bought by LaBelle and while I like LaBelle the quality of the sticky buns and cinnimon rolls had gone down hill. 9/13/25 I went for a cinnamon roll at about 9 am, they were sold out. Not a problem, I got a gluten fee sticky bun, normally equally as good. This was not, the recipe has changed. If I wanted LaBelle I would have gone to LaBelle. So sad.

Filled out an order for a basic Carrot Cake for my wife’s birthday 6 days in advance will within the 5 day notice window. Keep in mind, not a custom cake. Got a confirmation that my request was received. 72 hours later got an automated email that the order could not be filled, but that I could call and they would have premade ones available. Called the next day and they do not. Now I am 48 hours from birthday with limited options. Would not recommend this place, never had this issue with previous ownership. So sad…
Update: no longer have any vegan take and bake, no sushi, no cakes or cupcakes. But still have Vegan & GF Brownies, Magic Bars, and Peanut butter bars. Only 2 things on deli menu marked Vegan was the French fries and a salad. I'm only taking off one star because the brownies were outstanding! It's under new ownership so maybe they'll get more? ....... Checked out all the take away refrigerators and found Vegan Stroganoff, Vegan Pot Pie, Herbivore Sushi Roll, Vegan Babka, Vegan & GF Cake pops, cakes, brownies and more. Looked like most of the baked sweets were also GF. BUT not the Babka! And it was delicious! On the deli menu there was a few tempeh sandwiches that could be Vegan. We were impressed with the amount of options in the take away fridges. Updated from previous review on 2024-10-27
I never thought I’d say “slaps” but for real - the tempeh chorizo burrito, hold the cheese - is a total flavor bomb. Served with 2 salsas and the green one is so delicious. Many pleasant surprises in the bakery case like vegan hamantaschen to please my vegan Jewish soul. Take away case full of vegan savories and soups. You never know what you’ll find but this place is worth it for the burrito alone.
Love the food here but the customer service is been lack luster as of late!
They are wonderful, supportive members of the community and known for being great employers. I really want to like them. But every time I go, something goes wrong. They cook something incorrectly, they leave out parts of my order, they box the wrong thing, etc. I haven’t had one visit without some kind of mistake. And they lean slightly expensive, which makes it harder to forgive repeated issues. But I’ll keep trying because they really are a great business.
