First time trying Colorado green chile after only having New Mexican chile. Heard about the state rivalry and was recommended this place. It’s super delicious! I got the hottest possible green chile they had, and it delivered heat! Almost ghost pepper level heat at some other places. Would only suggest to real chile heads. Hotter than 90 percent of the New Mexican green chile places I’ve been to. Also the flavor was unique and different. It’s very pork based. The lard was yummy and the pork was super tender mixed in with the green sauce. I definitely want to come back the next time I’m visiting Colorado from Oregon

Always tasty Mexican food here. Has never tasted like out of a can. Not as top quality as years ago, but still one of the better authentic Mexican restaurants around. Always crowded weekends and game says. Good bar drinks. Very fairly priced. “Hot” is hot here!

Wish could give a 0. Felt very unwelcomed, missed drinks, no refills even for water forget chips and salsa. The topper was we got a broken high chair and when asked for a replacement, told everything was broken.

got the Efrain's burrito and the spicey dish was just what i was looking for so yummy and delicious, staff were kind and friendly i had a great dinner here and recommend everyone to try this gem of a restaurant

There was just nothing I liked about the food.
The chips are pretty thick and completely unsalted. Salsa was watery and bland.
The rice was both bland and chewy.
My tamales had a tasty filling, but otherwise the masa on them was very thin. Sauce was okay.

My family and I came here last night, but unfortunately we didn’t stay. While we were seated as soon as we came in, as soon as we sat down we all instantly realized the lights blaring above us were truly awful. And then they brought out the chips, which no joke were the worst tortilla chips I’ve ever had in a Mexican restaurant- where did they go wrong? So unfortunately at this point we just decided to leave and go to another restaurant down the street…
(Also this picture in the menu of the “chicken enchilada” versus the “supreme chicken enchilada,” makes it look like the only difference between the two is that for the “supreme” one, you get an extra olive 😆)

Efrain's a regular go-to Mexican restaurant for us. It's affordable and has great Margaritas. Some of our favorites are the Steak San Lorenzo, Chile Rellenos, Nachos and the Blue Corn Enchiladas.

Always been a good place to eat drink and vibe with friends and family growing up, it does tend to get a little hot in the restaurant but other then that everything and everyone is great 👍🏼
As good as it was 30 years ago when we lived in Lafayette. Chili Verde burrito was stellar as always.

love this place! I will drive an hour just to eat here. Good, solid locally owned family business that has been around forever. Which I think says alot. Don't let the bad reviews fool you.
