A Lafayette staple, sometimes overlooked. Great food, nice hard-working people!! Would recommend both lunch and dinner.

Fortune Cookie Cafe is a gem in the heart of Lafayette, that is often passed on by many. You can pass by the sign a dozen times but still never pounce. The food there is straightforward Chinese, and exactly what is perfect for movie nights and a no-dishes dinner. This place gets a bad wrap which confuses me. sure it could maybe use renovations, but I feel like it fits the bill of a standard, yummy Chinese restaurant. this "Kid" that everyone is talking about is very nice, and he was courteous and polite from the second that we walked in to the door. the food was hot and my order of the beef lo mien was (IMO) cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend this place.

Great tasting food but it makes your stomach hurt. Every. Time. Extremely Overpriced.

Absolutely appalled at how business was handled. I will never come back after dealing with a yelling hostess. Also, who fries iceburg lettuce?!

There food was meh, and they began to talk badly about me and my family behind our back in a different language, I recommend not going here.

Honestly this place needs to be majorly updated, and the silverware needs to be replaced if not burned. The thought of eating there alone made myself and my family walk out. Sorry, not sorry.

Loved it! Brenda Grantson's review is over-exaggerated and doesn't appreciate the hard work that goes into a restaurant like this one. Great food and good vibe.

The food was good, the decor was nice and the price was reasonable.

I walk in and there is a child probably ten or eleven handling my food after touching his dirty computer he was very rude and seemed more interested in getting back to the game he was playing, I was almost insulted by the fact he ignored me at first because he “Couldn't pause his game” and decided he could serve me five minutes later. The service is terrible took forty minutes after ordering to get my food. The food tasted like it was eaten vomited up and thrown back on the grill.

Good food and the kid in the corner gave me free food and got me Minecraft on my crombook

Food was very good and the strange kid in the corner was actually not strange but very nice and gave us free food and downloaded Minecraft in my friend's Chromebook

This is the second and last time I order from this restaurant. Both times they overcharged me by $6.00 and then the $7.50. They said that the menu had changed both times. Just went on their Facebook page and looked at their menu. They just overcharged me. Not a third time.
