This place slaps. Idk if it was because I super hungry but the two gorditas (carnitas and asada) I had were so good, especially the carnitas, it was the star. I’m from south Texas and this was hitting home for me. I highly recommend

I’ve lived in so cal (east LA) and visited Mexico often and their tacos de cabeza and lengua are authentic! If you’ve never had those meat cuts please do but you might never want carne asada again. Very tasty tortillas too which is half the work. There is also a market attached to check out— they have their own chicharrones!
Definitely better than the unauthentic Mexican food across the street.

This IS NOT Taqueria Del Sol, don’t waste your money. Any reviews made in the last year on this restaurant are for Taqueria del Sol and not Las Americas. They made the switch so quickly hoping people wouldn’t notice, but your tastebuds will.

Coming from the south, these were amazing tacos and so worth what you're paying for. Honestly I would drive all the way out Lafayette for this food, so delicious. And everyone working there is super sweet!
