We order from them often on Uber Eats and their Chicken Tikka Masala is now one of my favorites. Our kids also love when we order from here and being able to customize the spice is really nice. The rice is always fluffy and warm, the samosa’s are really beautifully seasoned and the garlic naan is divine!

We just ordered in through Uber Eats. The curry sauce and rice is lovely, but the shrimp is so dry- tastes like chalk. The chicken my husband had was even worse. ☹️

Originally found this place on Doordash but ended up not wanting to pay the delivery fees so instead of placing a pick up order through Doordash, we went to the website and were rewarded with their direct pricing and discounts listed right on the main page! We want to support businesses directly whenever we can, so their transparency was super appreciated.

The location was surprising, tucked in a gas station with just a small sign, but knowing that the most unassuming places are usually the best was a solid bet. We got amazing portions, tender and perfectly spiced butter chicken and tikka masala, the momos (fried) were incredible! I could easily outline my dairy free preference and all for half the cost it would've been via delivery on DD, we will definitely be back!

Dietary restrictions: Super easy (on Doordash and their website) to outline allergies or dietary restrictions (nut, dairy, and one other option I can't recall). The attention they paid to outlining those options made me confident in their care for preparing it safely, which is greatly appreciated!

Delicious and affordable Indian food plus fusion! Hidden away in a gas station in Lafayette, this place truly is a hidden gem! Highly recommended

Amazing hidden gem perfect for takeout. Actually spicy, delicious cheesy Naan, very good saag paneer and Tikka masala. Large chunks of chicken or paneer, generous Naan sizes. Anyone complaining about the spice levels are weak and should order mild

I found this place back in december 2023 and always come in ever since. Every time I do they're always very quick and everyone (inculding the gas station employees) are always extremely sweet not to mention the food is incredible, affordable, and always correct. Theres also a new little seating area that makes it feel very separate from the gas station which is nice. Anyways I totally recommend this place if you're looking for some really good authentic indian or nepali food!

Exceeded expectations and prices are fantastic for the area. All was fresh and the chicken was tender. Thanks for a great dinner!

I have no idea where the positive reviews are coming from. The food was greasy. Really greasy. Chicken was dry, sauce was flavorless, and naan was soggy. If this was half the cost, maybe 2 stars, but at what they are charging, I'd rather get Curry Corner.

Surprisingly good and authentic Indian food. My wife and I were both impressed by the quality of the food and the ability to do dairy free substitutions. We were a little concerned about it being at a gas station, but it exceeded our expectations and from our first experience it seems the best Indian take-out option in the area.

The restaurant is inside the gas station!

TL;DR: the food is good but do take out.

I want to point out the fact that it's in the gas station because I showed up thinking it was its own location and was dismissing the gas station altogether. I looked around multiple times trying to find it before making the realization. ?

The food is amazing. I tried both the chicken tikka masala and the butter chicken over rice and they were both amazing. They were very well seasoned and creamy. The garlic and cheese naan was also quite delicious.

While they do offer sitting in case you want to dine in, the space is very small therefore making it feel small/crowded even when empty. Tables and chairs are wobbly, and overall not very well taken care of/dirty. They don't have regular dishes or silverware as they are mainly set up for take out. No soft drinks available as part of the restaurant either, but you can purchase separately from the gas station's convenience store. The only drinks available are the mango lassi and masala chai.

I personally had the mango lassi which is basically a blend of mango and yogurt. Very smooth and creamy overall, though I wasn't a fan of it. Though this is mainly due to my personal taste buds not being fond of yogurt paired with the stupidity of not reading the menu and ordering strictly after looking at the picture. If you like both yogurt and mango, you might enjoy it more than I did.

The person attending us seemed "lost" as if he is new but he was super friendly. So he might just need a bit more time to become more familiar with the menu.

For first impressions this place has everything going against it. It is located inside a gas station. It is located a short walk away from the high school meaning the store is often packed with high school students. In order to cater to these students culinary desires the menus includes pizza by the slice and french fries. All of this led me to have low expectations when I ordered lunch. My expectations were vastly exceeded when I tried the food. This place is really good. I've eaten a lot of Indian food and it is usually "pretty good". The food at Mountain Bites is in the really good to excellent tier. I've sampled most of the Indian food on their menu it have not been disappointed. One thing to note: If you ask for spicy prepare to get spicy. I like spice and the medium level here is equivalent to spicy at many other restaurants.

I ordered out so I can’t speak to the service or atmosphere. I rarely review unless exceptionally good or exceptionally bad- I have had really good Indian food and this is not it. Too much cardamom, too much heat (I ordered medium got spicy +), and frozen vegetables, good portions though.
