As always, the Post was great. We love their chicken. Always. But the staff is extra special. Their service is hands-down great, personable, friendly. Made sure we were taken care of.
This is a staple for our family. Menu is big but not overwhelming and they do everything well. Service is attentive and friendly. They have a nice happy hour and a large bar area too.
To be honest, last few times the post hadnโt been living up to the hype, but then last night we had Will! An incredible person who helped us pick out great food, was kind, and super helpful! Food was great, but Will made the meal and will be back! ๐
Our sever Ryan and Renee the manager are awesome, amazing time work. There was shortage for 30 min and they were so nice and kind they made our lunch so comfortable. The food was so good. Thumbs up for the kitchen. Great team congrats. ๐๐๐๐๐

We've gone quite a bit and this was our best experience yet! Everyone loved their food. Thanks!
We dine at the Lafayette Post often because we had discerned long ago it was the best of all The Post locations. Tonight, Monday before Christmas, the A-Team was NOT working. We were a party of 8, 4 family members visiting from Switzerland, the rest local. Out of all the restaurants in Denver metro area, I chose to make a reservation weeks ago for this particular restaurant to share a family meal celebrating Christmas and all of us being together again. Our server was pleasant but not attentive at all. She didn't introduce herself. Tall with a dark ponytail. We ordered drinks as each of us arrived and I asked for an order of 4 biscuits to start. We got our drinks and ordered our entrees. No biscuits yet. We chatted, sipped drinks. Another staff member suddenly arrived with a couple of plates and served the two children. Then a few more plates came out and eventually we were all served by other staff. Still no biscuits. Unfortunately for those who ordered entrees with fried chicken tenders were stuck with hard, dry, barely warm chicken that looked like it had been cooked hours ago and laid in a warming tray until someone finally ordered it. I tried to eat my Spicy Orange Chicken Rice Bowl but it was barely warm and the chicken tasted and felt chewy dry, not juicy hot as in the past. I ate very little of it and stopped making the effort when the biscuits FINALLY arrived. I just ate one of those and no more of my dinner. My daughter's Shrimp 'n Grits tasted okay but not hot. The only guest who enjoyed his meal had ordered a burger. The server was absent the entire time we were eating entrees, never asked if we liked everything but did apologize for being gone so long because "her mother was dining here". I'd start to tell her our concerns, she nodded and kept going. Since she didn't return, we paid, stood to leave. She suddenly appeared, started clearing the table. I told her we were not happy. She looked up vacantly, then kept on clearing the table. Won't return ever.
The fried chicken is amazing. This time around, a little over. However always good. Their beers are wonderful.
Great chicken and waffles. Enough said , beer is outstanding . Staff is attentive and present as well as managers . would definitely recommend.
I like The Post, have eaten there a few times prior and really enjoyed it. The staff, as always, was great. We ordered the deviled eggs and cauliflower and they were delicious. I've had the Taco Tuesday before and they were really good. Last night, I had them again, and they were nothing like the ones I had previously. I think they completely changed the dish. Also ordered the sticky toffee cake...and it certainly was not what I would expect for one of my favorite desserts. It was a very dry bundt cake with some caramel over it and a scoop of ice cream. Tasteless, and either very stale or just a bad recipe. This experience will not deter me from going back at all, but I would not order those items again.

Never disappoints - whether fried or roasted, chicken is always tender and flavorful. Also, don't sleep on the meatloaf. Great selection of beers and ales.
The fried chicken is delicious, some of the best I've ever had, as are the biscuits. The side salad was uninspired with tiny bites of cucumber and one cherry tomato. The old fashioned cocktail with huckleberry tasted like cough syrup. Our server was wonderful! Pleasant, efficient and very charming.
This is a heartbreaking review to write as The Post used to be one of my favorite places to eat. The food quality and dishes have declined in quantity substantially since early 2025. My family recently returned to The Post, I ordered my favorite Chicken & Waffles. Previously you would get full chicken cutlets, waffles, seasoned butter and delectable chutney that really made the dish. Now, two chicken fingers on bland waffles, sprinkled with brown sugar and syrup....for $22! Even the deviled egg starters weren't as good, I think they changed the ingredients on those as well. It is unfortunate, but I will be avoiding The Post from now on. Hopefully they reverse course and make their meals interesting once more.

9 of us in town for a college reunion. Great that you could make reservations. This is a hidden gem! The beer was great, those who had cocktails raved about them. Love the Hawaiian black salt used for margaritas! And the fried chicken is by far the absolute best I've ever had! You will not be disappointed here.
Their chicken is amazing! The family meals are great for the value. The only complaint I have is I wish there were vegetable options for the sides.
