Sat on the patio. There were two other tables who had already finished eating. I ordered ny burger rare because, in the past, med/rare always came out well done. This time it was absolutely raw. Had to wait awhile for the waitress to come back out to give it back. Second one was cooked med/rare. Had to ask a different waitress to ask my waitress for a drink refill. I was the only one on the patio by then. I'll stick with the turkey ortega sandwich and dine inside.

Came here with my Dad today, went out of our way to come back here after many years. I ordered a bowl of their soup of the day, tomato bisque ($5), ordered a 4-pack of their giant cinnamon rolls to-go ($16), ordered a grilled cheese and fries ($10.50), and a lemonade ($3.50). I also ordered a brownie and giant chocolate chip cookie at the end ($8.03) - can't go wrong here.
It's an excellent value for excellent quality food and dessert. You can't go wrong with Vern's Place, plenty of parking around the building, comfortable padded seats and booths, great scenery, quiet atmosphere. The grilled cheese was a little basic, but with the soup, it worked out. The atmosphere is very consistent, looks roughly the same as it did 15 years ago.

Love the food and the coffee/latte options. One of my favorite restaurants for breakfast. We drive in from Loveland, the drive is gorgeous. Cinnamon rolls are so good too.

What a great find. Food was delicious and service was friendly. Got the chicken fried steak which was enough for 2 meals and even good reheated. Went for the cinnamon roll (as big as my head). Was fantastic with coffee. Extra props for the beer on tap served in a frozen mug Lots of history here

Vern’s does not take reservations, yet, when we approached manager Paul Hutson about reserving tables for 13 out-of-town family and friends—who were here for our wedding—Vern’s accommodated our request without hesitation. We were SO happy to share the great food and ambiance of NOCO’s iconic Vern’s Place with everyone. Thank you to Paul and the whole staff for making a dream come true!

I just had to leave a comment about RUBY the server. What a bright ray of hard working sunshine she was!! I was so happy to be seated in her section! She noticed flowers and asked if it was my birthday and then told me she was going in the back to get the biggest, most frosting cinnamon roll for me!!! And that she did !! Please let her know .. she’s doing a great job and made this old ladies birthday so special!
