Good food - good service - pleasant atmosphere
Being local, I see posts daily on Facebook and was curious. I will definitely bring my seven year old back for pancakes and doughnuts.
Manuel - you rocked it today! Thank you

Terrible. Cold and Burnt biscuits almost no sausage. Also there was a clear bite taken out of my bread. Like who does that. That’s disgusting. Lived in Leadville 7 years and this is the worst breakfast I’ve ever had. Do not eat here

On 1/18- I brought my family to eat breakfast, it was my daughters birthday breakfast. I felt like we were in a movie. The owner was yelling very loud bad words and just bad talking the cook/employee. We were so unhappy with the way she was yelling especially with a room filled with paying customers, that we asked the server Lucy if we can take our food to go. Lucy apologized to us for the outburst and bad language especially in front of my kids. I will NEVER go back there again, thanks to the owners unprofessional outburst towards her own employee. Thank you to the server Lucy who made my kids feel happy with some donuts.

I normally don’t post reviews but I have to on this. On January 18-2025 I believe at around 10:00 or so, I came in with my newly mother in law and sister in law for brunch. I always come to the Silver Lama for a delicious pastry and coffee. On this day I witnessed the owner yelling at a employee/cook saying very rude remarks and using a lot of profanity in a room filled with lots of customers. May I add she was yelling. I was Appalled and very distraught, on what I was hearing. What’s even worse is someone had mentioned she was the owner Sherry. The cashier Tanya was apologizing to us as we were paying for our food and all the customers in line for the outburst towards the cooks. Also the very nice server Lucy also apologized to us when she brought us our food and we also saw Lucy apologizing to other tables as well. I don’t Believe a owner should talk to their employees this way, it’s very unprofessional and makes me not want to go back there. Very great food and the service is by far the best I have experienced in such a little town. The owners attitude was not okay with me. Shout out to Lucy and Tanya for making our brunch a great experience despite the owners unprofessionalism and yelling.

Pretty good for breakfast. Kinda spendy for what ya get. When I go out to eat I want to order things I crave, things I don't make at home, I want it priced fairly/ don't offend me, and I want to feel a full belly upon leaving.

My burger was really good. Wife food was a little cold. Were there near closing so they gave us a bunch of donuts on top of what I ordered. Very kind. Would definitely eat there again.

Stopped in this morning. The food was edible but the lady at the counter was unfriendly and quite rude honestly. It looked like she was taking orders and serving all by herself which most people are understanding of as long as you are friendly.. can't say that was the case.

She gave me a number to put on my table for my order, then proceeded to tell me I took the wrong number (the one she gave me), then took it away from me, and then complained about me not having a number on the table. And then she walked away from another table cussing under her breath. A very odd experience to say the least. Can't say I'll be back

Food made my husband and friend sick to their stomach. The bad dishes were brought to their attention and nothing was done. Maybe a call to the health department is needed.

Excellent biscuits and gravy and the scrambled eggs were done just perfectly ... tender!

Our go to place for breakfast when we are in Leadville. The staff is very friendly and asks questions to get our order right. We try to spend time in Leadville in the off seasons, so the Silver Llama is usually not busy and very attentive. We enjoy the classic breakfast and it is just the right amount. My wife says the breakfast greens are great! The coffee is good and refills are available! We'll be back! Sit upstairs to get a great view of Leadville and the mountains to the East.

I like the decor, and the menu looked very promising, albeit a bit pricey. Unfortunately, the food didn't meet the standards I'd expect for the price paid. I ordered a "naked burrito," but specified that I didn't want cheese due to my lactose intolerance. Luckily, my wife had lactaid available. The menu also specified avocado with the naked burrito, and it was conspicuously absent. Other than that, it's just scrambled eggs on top of hash browns with a green chile sauce, which is hard to mess up. The breakfast greens were some fruit with a sweet vinaigrette poured over them, and were fresh.

My wife had the salmon Benedict, and was very disappointed. The poached eggs were still quite raw, with much of the egg white very runny and some of it clear. I expect a runny yolk, but the white should be firm. The Hollandaise sauce was unseasoned, as previous reviewers have mentioned. The texture was correct, but there wasn't any trace of lemon in it. She ordered the breakfast fruit, but ended up with the breakfast greens, and the vinaigrette polled under the English muffins and soaked into them, making for a very unpleasant experience. She was also very unhappy with the coffee, particularly at the price we paid for it.
The woman behind the counter who took the order was friendly, but she kept touching her face and nose and then touching the top of the coffee cup while talking to us, which is a food safety hazard.

Dietary restrictions: They have almond milk available for coffee. The kitchen ignored my request to prepare the meal without cheese due to my lactose intolerance.
