This place needs to close and figure out if they are a diner or another addition to the litany of Mexican restaurants in Leadville.

It’s such a shame because the aesthetic of the cafe is very cool but that’s about it. My girlfriend and I just moved here and were looking for a good breakfast spot. As soon as we walked in, we could smell they were having some plumbing issues. It smelled literally like sewage. I’m pissed just having to write this, as it shows just complete carelessness by owners.

Why open? CLOSE until it’s fixed. The loss in revenue sure hurts but diners shouldn’t have to literally sit through it, smelling sewage when they are trying to have breakfast.

We were given our food and weren’t looking for anything to blow us away - we just wanted a casual, but good meal. What came after just missed every mark possible. My girlfriend ordered the rancheros and took 3 bites before giving up on the pool of grease that soaked into everything on the plate. The Denver omelette was just absolutely blan, but not inedible.

I don’t typically ask for discounts or comps, but I assumed when the waitress in sweat pants came by to grab plates - she would notice that we barely ate our food, but she just didn’t seem to care. We paid over $50 for 2 people to have a casual breakfast.

Somethings has to change here.

I dont know if it was the time of day but we got there at 9am and I ordered some enchiladas because their whole menu was available. They were the worst enchiladas I've had in Colorado.

for breakfast, a Mexican-American mix, like the service..., it is correct to have some breakfast, it is copious, you won't stay hungry. I recommend it

Listed on Google as a vegan restaurant with an incredible menu of options. This is FALSE.

The restaurant is under new ownership that eliminated all vegan plates and hasn’t managed to update the main search tool anyone would use to find a restaurant.

The space was incredibly cute and I can only image what a great experience we could have had if they maintained vegan plates.

We went down the street to Before & After for a vegan breakfast burrito with avocado and oat milk lattes.

Menu is not updated. They no longer serve any vegan food. New ownership has not updated listing on google. It appears the city of Leadville is poor at accommodating “the vegans”.
