This was our second visit to Quincy's and we weren't disappointed. Food was great, and plenty of it. Once again, we ordered the 12oz and couldn't finish but had it for lunch the next day. Very reasonably priced for prime rib, potato, salad. Staff was friendly and professional. Definitely recommend and will return BUT will order the 8 oz next time.
I wanted a steak, I might have liked to have more interesting sides, but my limited options — I don’t eat baked potatoes — kept if thrifty and do-able for me. I irked the atmosphere, my rare steak really was rare, and the wedge salad was better than I expected. Maybe next time I have a clean run down Cooper I’ll get dessert, too. Several other skiers there that evening probably celebrating more accomplished goals than mine.
Stopped in drawn by the outside crowd during a return to Denver from Twin Lakes in August. Ordered the day's special - a 6 oz bacon wrapped filet mignon that came with baked potato, rolls and butter and side salad - plus a glass of cabernet savignon. My tab was $17.00!!!Great meal and service well deserving my 25% tip!
We don't have much of a choice in Leadville. This is THE best place for a good, flavorful steak. Definitely should be the #1 place in Leadville. The price is very reasonable.
Meat lovers heaven. Went here for the prime rib special. No reservations but they seat you pretty quickly. Wait staff was very attentive but busy. Our steaks were made to order but not everyone at our table was pleased with the rareness. Very sizable portions with plenty to take home. Also had the triple chocolate mousse cake. Easily edible for one.
It wasn't our first choice, but it turned out to be a good choice. Old saloon decor. During the week your only choice is filet mignon or meatless lasagna. We all opted for the steak. First they brought out a quarter chunk of lettuce with dressing. Then it was steak and potato and bread. Very good meals for about 15 bucks. Plus your drinks.
We had eaten at another Quincy in Salida on Prime Rib night and it was very good. This time it was filet mignon and my medium well was more medium rare and the baked potatoes were cold. So I wasn’t impressed with this Quincy’s. The old building was very neat as it was in Historic Leadville. This restaurant only has one thing on the menu some nights are filet and some nights prime rib. So don’t go there looking for a choice.
Sorry but the 9 oz. filet was below average. Very tough to cut and chew. Nice server replaced them for us and new ones were only slightly better. Didn’t finish it. Good salad. Baked potatoes were hard but OK. Every other booth was not used. Noticed that after use that tables, chairs and menus were wiped down. Haven’t had very good luck with steaks in the past so we gave it another try but I think that I am done. I would rather pay more and get a good steak.
Everything is different because of COVID, of course. All staff wore masks, but didn't enforce people waiting to wear any. The steak was not as good as I'd expected, was only average. But I judge places on how well they treat singles, and I was treated to a nice table and good service.
We have always loved it here. This time it was even better! We brought some family members who never tried it. They were so impressed! The service, food, drinks, absolute perfection! We will definitely be back!!
