Great, well-brewed, unpretentious beer. Fantastic soup. Friendly and knowledgeable bartender. Cool spot in an old historic converted gas station. Terrific prices. Mountain views on the patio. What's not to like? A very worthy stop if you're headed through Leadville!

Best green chili pozole!!! Awesome flavor and spice, along with plenty of pork and hominy!! The beers (we tried 3) were also delicious!! We will always stop here when in Leadville!!

Summited Mount Elbert today, and was looking forward to some celebratory beers. Had some great pizza at High Mountain Pies, which was amazing and the complete opposite of this customer experience, btw. We stopped at 6:30pm, stopped here for a quick beer or 4. Sign was flashing "OPEN", sign on the door said open until 9pm. We opened the door, and were quickly told to leave because they were closing. What a joke! If you are going to close early, at least turn your sign off, and possibly lock the door. Or how about accommodate the customers that come in until you have none? Why be in business if you don't want customers? Can't see this place lasting with this kind of attitude.

Beers are expensive and inferior to most other Colorado breweries.

They kicked out my dog (we were outside) and said it was state law that dogs aren't allowed... But we were outside... No such law... We bring our dog to every other brewery and it's fine, even if they serve food or not. They threatened to call the cops...

Maybe the thin air is getting to their heads...

Do not recommend, especially if you're a dog owner.

The place was closed on Monday despite both online and on the door posted hours claiming it should be open. I hiked Mt Elbert today and was planning to celebrate here after double checking hours.

I understand that Monday is a slow day, but at least post the correct hours! I could have stopped by yesterday, I know the place was open then. Now I will leave Leadville without visiting the country's highest brewery.?

Driving thru Leadville, didn’t have time to sit down for a flight, but took a growler of Backend Blond to go, it is deliciously easy to drink. Will definitely stop by for a proper flight when time allows.
