Moonga Sushi (Okinawa)

Ended up here on accident when the neighboring restaurant closed early. Score that they did because the service and sushi were top notch great. They have 2 locations in CO that we are going to try when we get home; we live in the area.

We shared 6 rolls. The yellowtail Jalapeños, spicy crispy tuna, titanic, hamachi kama, Shrek, and sunshine. Loved them all. The hamachi kama was really good and because it was a slightly smaller cut, they comped us 20% on it. Very honest and nice establishment. The server was super nice and rolls came out quickly due to it being slower in the late afternoon.

Definitely recommend overall, and definitely better than Haleiwa Joe's if you are in this area of the island. We felt the food was a lot better as we tried Joe's the night before, though the gardens and ambience of Joe's was very nice.

Super fresh sushi! No hard rice edges, no smelly fish, no excessive toppings…clearly a focus on quality which sets them apart from other places in the area. This will now be our go to place for fresh sushi! Can’t wait to come back!

This place is incredible! In college I worked at an upscale sushi restaurant on Pearl Street in Boulder— so I have high standards for sushi. This place exceeded my expectations. Great variety on the menu, awesome special rolls, great depth of flavor in everything we had, and the quality of sushi was second to none. Great dine-in experience and also travels well for take out. Highly recommend!!!

First time visiting Moonga and I am really impressed. I’ve been a sushi fan for decades, this place is legit. Excellent rolls, sashimi, edamame and even drinks. We will definitely be back!!

The first time I dined for sushi in Lone Tree. It's also the first time I've ever tried a monkey's brain. After hearing from some people that it sounds gross to try out, it turned out it was remarkably good when I made my first bite. Thank you, Okinawa, for convincing me of my experience! I hope to come again!

The server was kind and helpful in the beginning but then when we questioned our food quality she couldn't understand what we were asking we had a language barrier. Then the supervisor came over 🙄 and made it worse. Then the serve completely ignored us the rest of the evening. Didn't attend to us at all. We won't return.

We had such an amazing time! This was an impromptu stop and we weren't expecting the food to be so good, but the SERVICE was what really blew us away. Tony was the best waiter we've ever had, 10/10 will be back!
