I've been here twice on Sundays with my family. Their focus is pasta and it is without a doubt the BEST pasta I've had in a restaurant. The sauces are what make it so good. We each tried each others dishes and were impressed with how well each different type was.

I had shrimp scampi my first time and a lemon salmon my second time. Both were delicious mouth-popping dishes.

Great place to bring a date or enjoy great Italian with friends or family

Our first time at Carciofi and we’ll certainly be back! Each course was just as excellent as what came before - from cocktails (Old Fashioned & Rob Ramsey) to appetizer (Queso de Cabra) to the Strawberry salad to main course (Butternut Squash Risotto & Spaghetti Al Nero) to dessert (tiramisu). So much on the menu still to try! Kyle is an amazing server and certainly added to our truly enjoyable experience. What a little gem of a place!!!

We were so looking forward to this evening, our first visit, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately the waiter we had was simply awful & downright rude.

The place was not busy yet he was oddly invisible; never checked in on us after our food arrived. I had an issue of concern with my pasta & waited for the waiter to finally be visible so that I could flag him down.

I quietly & discretely shared my concerns & he was not only immediately defensive, he was also insulting as well & condescending.

It was a simple misunderstanding, and yet he handled it most unprofessionally; enough so that we left the restaurant immediately, left my cold uneaten meal & our drinks on the table, he completely wrecked the mood.

It honestly wrecked our anniversary night which only comes around once a year & that we were looking forward to immensely.

And sadly it could have taken a completely different turn for the better if the waiter knew enough about basic etiquette and simply asked “how can I make this right?” with sincerity & kindness, instead of copping an attitude & being so unprofessional.

I tried to resolve this at the restaurant on site but this waiter was just so rude it made my husband and I most uncomfortable. For a bill that came to over $100 (which is a lot to us) I went home hungry & saddened by the entire experience.

Never again will we dine here, as there are too many restaurants at this level ($$$) that train their staff properly and who get it right.

I did email the restaurant off their website form & am eager to see their response. I do not believe that a private email is enough, and sharing my personal experience here might actually be helpful to other folks out there wanting a nice romantic special meal somewhere, to keep in mind that ours was ruined by one single waiter assigned to our table. (The other waiter at nearby tables was absolutely fabulously warm & friendly & professional).

It’s a crapshoot when dining out and we got the server who honestly didn’t give a hoot about making our evening or meal special, or righting his wrong, and as a result, he ruined it.

A huge thumbs down from us. We hope others find this review helpful. Give the place a try & see what you get, hopefully you’ll get the good server! It would have been an entirely different review if we had.

They put cheese in their marinara. Who does that? While they have 2 separate GF options (spiralized zucchini and banza pasta) your only option for a dairy free sauce is aglio e oglio. I paid way too much money for a plate of zucchini swimming in oil. The artichokes were tasty, but they forgot the mushrooms I asked for. An expensive, unsatisfying dinner. None of my table mates were super impressed with their meals either. A shame, really. Good cocktails, but the rest was super meh.

My wife and I went here for our first date. We loved it. We came back two years later and it was just as amazing.
Truly delicious and fresh. We will start making this our go to Italian place. Biaggi's and Scalzotto's have fallen behind Carciofi for us.
