China Gourmet is one of those spots in Longmont that feels like a hidden gem. Every time I’ve visited, the food has been absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The menu offers a wide variety of options, from classic favorites like sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef to house specialties that you won’t find just anywhere. The portions are generous, making it great for sharing or taking some home to enjoy later.
One of the things I appreciate most about China Gourmet is the consistency. Every dish I’ve tried has been spot-on, and you can tell they put pride into their cooking. It’s not just tasty food; it’s comfort food that keeps you coming back.
The service here is also really good. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes sure you’re taken care of without hovering. They’re quick to take orders, refill drinks, and check in at the right times. It makes the dining experience smooth and enjoyable.
Another highlight is the atmosphere. China Gourmet is fairly quiet, which is rare to find these days. It’s a nice change of pace when you want to relax, enjoy a meal, and actually have a conversation without shouting over noise.
Overall, China Gourmet is a reliable, delicious, and peaceful place to eat in Longmont. Highly recommend if you’re craving Chinese food done right.

I've been going to this restaurant for the past 13 years, but now it's under new owners/management and they have made it way much better. Service is great, place is very clean, and the atmosphere is very relaxing even when there are several tables occupied. They have the most delicious Kum pao shrimp I've ever had and their shrimp with broccoli is just perfect. I hope they keep it that way!

I live locally and eat here often. It my favorite lunch when I am working from home. They do add a good amount of vegetable but I feel that makes it healthier. They cook things very fast but if you look at them (behind counter) they have a super hot wok to do that. HUGE FAN.

One of the better Chinese restaurants that I've been to lately. My only complaint is that there was a lot of grease. The portion size was good and the food tasted good. Appetizers were $6-11 for most, meals were $17 to 20, plus or minus.

The orange beef and sesame chicken were good, and spicy edamame was a good starter. Juan was delightful and took care of us. It was a quiet afternoon to sit and visit.

This is another great local find. The food was fresh delicious, and very affordable. It is probably the least expensive meal on my entire business trip.

I ordered Scallops & Snow Peas 🫛 dinner and it only had 5 Snow Peas 🫛 in the entire dish… TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED, will never order here ever again.

We eat here all the time. Really tasty food at a good price. Can't go wrong.

UPDATE: My wife and I got takeout here recently and I'm pretty confident this is the best Chinese food in Longmont and it's not even close. We really love their wonton soup. I've eaten here several times with my coworkers over the years. I think they deserve a better rating.

Just ordered takeout from China Gourmet. They mess up the order every time and I usually never want to go back because of the roads!
Also, their crunch noodles for soup are disgustingly greasy!

ETA: I went back and they fixed it! I got my money back for the greasy noodles.
