Gondolier Italian Eatery - Longmont

This place is not bad. I think they make all of their pasta in house which is delicious but everything else is mid (and really under seasoned in my opinion). We eat here every few months but I always leave unimpressed.

Great food and they offer amazing pasta options and build your own pizza and calzones.
Service was quick got our food amazingly fast and never had an empty cup.
The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting cozy and comfortable. I always come here when i come to Colorado.

Stopped by this weekend for our first visit and we will be back! Incredible service. Our glasses were never empty. Prompt service in ordering and the items we had were incredible. We would be back for the garlic knots alone but a fresh salad was top notch. My friend had the lasagna and loved it. I had the pasta carbonara and was thrilled also. Sad I live so far away but we will be back!

So, you guys staple your takeout bags to imply the food is packed correctly when you give it to me, except you never actually closed the lid on the container. So now I have clam sauce all over the seat of my brand new car. My $60 meal just turned into $160 to get my car detailed. Thanks 👍

The quality and freshness of the food makes me wonder if there is a kitchen manager or a chef-type overseeing things. For example, tonight, I ordered the chicken parm, and the cutlet tasted like it was previously cooked ( I mean like yesterday). It was lukewarm, so was the spaghetti. The marinara sauce was not the zesty one I ordered. It seems like every time I give this place a chance, there is a food quality and freshness issue. The time before this visit, I ordered a couple of sliders and a full house salad. The lettuce was not fresh, just cut. It was starting to wilt. This location had potential if the most important part of the business, the kitchen, was well managed and supervised. It will be a while before I go back, sadly.

While our waiter was prompt and friendly but that is where the positives end. I ordered a cocktail from the bar specials menu called upside fizz that was not good. That was after the waiter came back to question the order and I had to explain it was on the specials menu. I couldn't even begin to tell you what they concocted. For an appetizer, we ordered the garlic bread with parmesan cheese. It was brought out with our meal - so much for appetizer. It was so soggy it rendered it almost inedible. My entree was chicken marsala. My dish was a very small chicken breast you had to dig to find because it was swimming in sauce and the sauce was so bland! Really the only flavor notes it had was a hint of marsala at the end. My partner had chicken alfredo with chicken and his sauce looked like glue. Just awful. I'm so disappointed because I really wanted this restaurant to work. The atmosphere was lovely and the location is convenient for us but the food just didn't cut it.

We started with calamari and couldn’t finish it as it was extremely chewy. Two of us had chicken parm. The chicken was thick and very overcooked but the pasta was good. We split a tiramisu that was exceptionally good.

It's not bad, but we were disappointed in the red sauce. It was super thick and all we could taste was the heavy tomato paste. My chicken Parm breading was mushy because of the thick red sauce that had been sitting on top. I will say the service was excellent.

Took a date there during the week. The food was great and the waiter gave us just the right amount of attention. They even didn't kick us out when we stayed past closing.
