I’m ready for another place that fits the demographic of our community. Our only visit was cool, unfriendly, and didn’t get my order right. Food wasn’t bad, but felt like it was a one and done forever dine in.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Longmont.

Food was great, but service was slow. We were there early on a weekday evening, and the place was half full. Ordered pizza and salad, waited about 45 minutes. Also, the waiter misheard our drink order, because the restaurant is very loud. They need to add some curtains or something to soften the acoustics, because the entire dining room is hard surfaces. Conversation was difficult.

It seems more and more rare to find a restaurant that has great food and great service. JP’s was awesome. The food was truly excellent and the service was over the top. This place must take care of their employees, because every person I came in contact with, was cheery, professional, and appeared genuinely happy to serve. We found our new date night hangout.

Very unfortunate experience. I really had hoped for better. On Friday 01/26 went in for dinner and ordered food. Was informed the head chef was not in and that the kitchen was behind. We waited an hour and 30 minutes knowing it was going to be a while. The staff was very polite. When my table received its food we noticed that some of it was overcooked from what we had asked the staff was very nice and had our whole meal remade. The real unfortunate part was after dinner was done and we had left. About 6 to 7 hours later I fell very ill with what seemed as food poisoning. I am unsure if what we had at the restaurant was the cause but it was the only thing that week I did not cook myself at home and of course with any restaurant you cannot see all of the food practices.Food looked good tasted okay but not a great end result.

Heard we had a great restaurant on the East side and it is true! Had the wedge - salad had cold, crisp lettuce and great blue cheese. Ordered The Marsala - a steak with mashed potatoes and vege. Very, very tasty. My only negative was I wish I had gotten a steak knife. Dessert was great too! Definitely will go back - looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

JP cuisine is just across the street from us, and it's been on my list of new restaurants to try. We finally went in a few weeks ago. I was excited, and a bit apprehensive, to try the Paella as it's one of my all time favorite dishes. I usually cook it a handful of times per year, after discovering a perfect recipe. So, I have high standards. Unfortunately, this "paella" was very disappointing. The top non-negotiables for paella, in my opinion, are properly cooked rice and proper saffron seasoning. This dish failed on both counts. The rice was over-stirred to create a creamy risotto. And I didn't taste the slightest hint of saffron. This dish is honestly an insult to a dish appreciated and celebrated around the world. I would respectfully request that the chef either honor the classic dish and make it properly or take it off the menu. Aside from the non-negotiables that were disregarded, it left a funky taste in my mouth that didn't fade for quite some time. The last time I recall that funky after taste, I'd eaten something in which rancid oils were used in the cooking process. I will give them another one or two tries - for the sake of convenience and supporting local spots. Fingers crossed my next visit is better. Aside from the food, esthetically, the color palate of the space is quite lovely. It feels there is some disconnect, though - attempting something closer to fine dining with oddly casual elements like paper napkins wrapped around silverware. Needs a few improvements to clarify their style of dining.

Tried this place out to celebrate our 20th Anniversary last night. Wow, it was just perfect! Service was wonderful. We got the Asiago (pictured) and the Mad Cow Burger. Beautiful and delicious! We will be back!

I was very interested in trying this new place since it took over a pizza place that was pretty decent.I will say that JP was pretty good for my expectations. Especially when it came down to its price point. We started with the arancini and the bruschetta. Both had an excellent presentation. The arancini had a perfect crust on the outside that was the perfect thickness. The sauces with it were also very complimentary. I will say however that the risotto was a bit overcooked and the interior was a bit gluey. The flavor was there but they were too dense. I'm assuming this was so the chef wouldn't have them fall apart in the fryer however, if they are frozen ahead of time that will usually help so that they won't fall apart. The bruschetta was nearly perfect. The heirloom tomatoes on them were perfectly fresh, with a great sweet taste. Balsamic glaze was not overpowering, and the little bit of parmesan cheese on top was a nice touch. I will say however that the bread in my opinion was not toasted enough, and it did soak a little bit. My suggestion would be to put them in a panini maker for just a little bit of time to give it a nice char and some decent grill lines. When it came to entrees, we tried the asiago and Mostaccioli Al Forno. The mostaccioli had great flavor. Nice spice level and good amount of cheese. The sauce was very similar to a creamy Arrabiata. However, the pasta was overcooked. I will also say the arugula on top was unneeded, and I did not see any meatballs. However, the sausage and the pancetta was very good. I would probably just add the spinach to the top and mix it in a little better to give it that extra color. The asiago had a perfect cut of chicken. It was fried perfectly, not dry at all, and the sauce was nice and creamy. Unfortunately though again, the pasta was overcooked. I also recommend just a little bit of lemon on the chicken in order to cut through the cream sauce. It could give it just a little bit more complementary flavor instead of being too subtle for the dish.Lastly, we did have their sangria and I have to say I was pretty blown away by it. It was nearly perfect.Overall for the price point, this place was very good. The small things that can be done in order to make it perfect just takes time and overall experience.

Absolutely excellent Italian inspired restaurant with a very creative chef who knows his chops and steaks and pasta to a wonderful degree. The service was exceptional when we even brought a party of nearly 40 people, and while we flooded the kitchen with our orders, they were still timely, the food came out hot, and the wait staff (one of which was brand new, but doing quite well for all that) were attentive and accurate in their orders and delivery. They're relatively new, but know what their doing, and the stuffed pork chop that was the special that night was moist, delicious, well seasoned, and beautifully presented on creamy mashed potatoes and under a veritable flood of rich demiglace level gravy. The wedge salad was exceptionally generous. And the desserts were sized to be sharable delights.Wheelchair accessibility: It's entirely accessible via wheelchair as one of our party is confined to a wheelchair.
