La Mariposa Mexican Restaurant

Visited today for my BD and had a wonderful time. Food was delicious and our Server, Beta, was amazing!! She brought me my choice of BD shot or BD Sopapilla and my BD “Candle” and made my day special! Have been here to eat before and will be back again. Thank You, Beta!!!

Meh, was not impressed with our 1st visit. 5/16 @ 5pm. Got a table for 3, sat for probably 10-15 minutes without a server stopping by. Went to the host stand to ask if we had a server. Drinks took a long time to come out and our kids order was wrong. Wife and I both ordered tacos. I found the taco shells WAY to oily. You literally could squeeze oil out of them. I'm still not sure who was our server as we had probably 3-4 different servers stop by. A manager I presume recognized the fact that things were taking long and offered a free desert. The place is really cool and expansive with a roof top. Lots of potential but I won't go back anytime soon.

Sunday the 12/1 was hoppin' busy and our service was excellent as usual. I am not 100% sure of our server's name, but he's served my table before and is EXCELLENT! This was my first time getting chicken tortilla soup, and it was delicious! Love the new restaurant location, design, and decor. La Mariposa is one of my favorite eateries in Longmont!❤️

Duby was our waiter. He was very quick with great attention! Friendly and polite! Best server we've EVER had anywhere!! Can't say enough good things about him! La Mariposa should reward their great servers!!

First time I've been served Fajitas on a skillet with half the skillet was rice & beans. Very small portion of Fajitas for $20+. More like a child's portion. Others in my party said the Margs tasted watered down with very little tequila. May or may not return while in the area. Probably chance it at other area Mexican restaurants. Will probably find a few that are better suited for our appetite & budget

This place is a gem. The decor, lighting, dinning and entertaining spaces are spot on. The food is well done. The staff friendly and responsive. I appreciate the professionalism.

La Mariposa Mexican Restaurant dinner date with my bride! The original review got attached to the old location and Google will not allow the change. I took screenshots of the photos and have attached them here.

We chose to eat here before the movie. We arrived about 5 on a Saturday and were seated right away. We asked to be outside since it was a beautiful day.

Chips and salsa were brought out quickly and kept coming. We placed a drink order. She ordered a "mariposa" margarita and I ordered the "cucumber jalapeno". Both were very yummy. The jalapeno gave mine a kick. Later, I ordered a Mexican IPA that was good too.

Once we ordered our main meal, it did not take too long for it to arrive.

My bride ordered the Pollo a la Crema. She enjoyed it. It was creamy and tasted delicious. I got the Molcajetes Mexicano. It presented well, the shrimp, cactus and sauce were delicious. The steak and chicken were more dry than I like. I ordered medium steak and it was definitely closer to well done.

Overall the food and drink were delicious. There was a wait when we left. We will be back.

Yes, this is very disappointing, I don't know what happened to the food and the waiters came to serve after 3, none of them came back with what we ordered, anyway I left there without eating I hope they change cooks and the waiters focus. At the tables I serve because I wasn't there to say that they didn't have time.

Used to go to the Boulder location and was never happy with service and food was hit or miss. Started coming to the Longmont location and is one of our favorite restaurants now

First time coming and couldn't have had a better experience. Amazing food, didn't really know what to get and Flor, helped me out. She is very knowledgeable about the menu. She went above and beyond made me feel at home like I was talking to someone I've known for years. Always checking in with me and making sure everything was ok. She even noticed when my drink was getting low and before I even ask she was offering to fill my glass.

It is a very nice Mexican food restaurant. To check the authenticity, we ordered tacos. The tacos were pretty much like one eats in Mexico but came with only one salsa. Otherwise we'd have given 5 stars. We need to try the other dishes as well. Nice to have Mariposa in our neighborhood.
