This place is ridiculous! I did not know it was a gay bar! And when a gay guy started an argument with me the bartender (who was not a good bartender) told me he is a regular and I should leave.. so strange as he was loud and I just told him to go back to hos drink and leave me alone.

Cheap drinks. Really nice dart board set up (4 total with great lighting). There’s a blind draw every Wednesday with a great group of people.
Bartenders have always been very nice. Some interesting patrons but everyone’s been friendly thus far.
No food, but taco trucks on the other side of the street and you can bring in any food you want.
I am a very big fan of this place, because it feels very socially safe and there is an atmosphere of community whenever I visit. Perhaps this qualifies my review a bit, but I do not drink anymore, and feel very welcome and (again I say) safe when I am at Mccarthy's. As with any pub that's open to the public, occasionally you'll see someone act like a fool, but the crowd at this place looks out for one another in a real way, and do not tolerate violence in the slightest. I go for the karaoke on Friday and Saturday on occasion, and I've yet to meet with someone without a smile. 5 stars to the superb bartenders as well.
