Love this dirty little dive. It's charm can never be matched! I love dropping in for a quick one and done shot after working a crazy show at my own job. The bartenders have NEVER let me down. Tip them well. Service industry is rough.
McCarthya does have great service. The Clientle is sketchy depending when you go in. At the end of the day its best dive bar in Longmont. And its better than any Dive bar in Boulder.
I started going to McCarthys for their karaoke but quickly found myself as part of their regular crowd. The bar staff are all very friendly and take care of any issues quickly. During the winter, they put up an enclosure on their back patio and turn on heaters so those who smoke or don't want to be inside can stay warm. The one problem I have is the incredibly tiny bathrooms. Unless you are stick thin and short, you'll have some difficulty getting in and out of the restroom....
