Mike O'Shays Restaurant & Ale House

My husband was born and raised in Longmont and this was a place he frequented. Learned that the ownership has changed and has went downhill.
We were very disappointed with the food and management. Our server was wonderful but the manager on duty was unprofessional and seemed like he didn’t want our business. Rushed my 85 year old mother-in-law into ordering her food. Food was rushed and not good at all. After a 7 hour drive to visit family, we were hoping for a delicious meal and wonderful service. It’s a shame that the new management couldn’t keep it how it use to be. I’m only giving two stars because our server was wonderful. If it weren’t for him it would be a one star.

Been going to O’Shays for over 35 years and wanted to treat my wife and folks to a nice dinner. We got there about 8:40pm after traveling 500 miles. Figured we’d have plenty of time website shows closing is 10pm. Server was very friendly. My 85 year old mother is very cognitively sound, but wasn’t sure what she wanted. Took a few extra minutes until the manager approached and began pressuring her to choose something “with love.” We ordered by 9pm, plenty of time. Food arrived and was mediocre at best. The place hasn’t been the same since Mike sold it. Absolute shame We will NEVER BE BACK. Pump House here we come.

Very very good food

Sorry to say this place has gone way downhill, French dip was the worst I’ve ever had, it’s like the beef had been left on a counter for a few days to dry out, au juice tasted like water, my wife had the stew, just a couple small pieces of meat, mostly just gravy. Service was good so I left a 20% tip. Wont be going back for this unhealthy, unappetizing food. From what I could see the kitchen did not look very clean as well. Both of us did not feel well after the few bites we ate. Like I said I’m sorry to have to leave a bad review on a place we used to like coming to.

Great place to come drinking or just hang out with the family. Great energy! Definitely try the cheese curries. The great drink selection as well. Easy to read menu

The manager was amazing and made sure all my friends allergy needs were met! Our server Lisa is amazing! Positive attitude and great service! We will be back again! Oh yea my bangers and mash were bangin!

Been here many times. Very friendly staff. Quality of the food has dropped off. A new menu is needed. We'll go again.

My friend and I stopped by for a cozy afternoon warm-up after a walk, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jen, our server, was absolutely incredible—one of the kindest and most genuine people ever! ♥️ She made us feel completely at home and went above and beyond to ensure we were well taken care of.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and while we didn’t try the food this time, everything looked amazing! Our drinks were delicious and the cute customized beer image was so cute. We can’t wait to go back and try the menu—everything from the Irish classics to the tempting desserts looked incredible.

This place is great. Great food, great specials. The Irish egg roll is unreal. Best clam chowder around. Plus you can put a picture on your nitro beer. Super fun. The staff is attentive and very friendly.

I like the vibes of the place. 8.5/10 on the chowder. Chicken fried chicken a 7/10. Went on a Friday night, wasn't busy at all
