Had a fabulous anniversary dinner (our 52nd—thanks for asking) here last night. Our cocktails were delicious (a chilled toddy and a pear martini) and the sourdough bread was so, so good. We shared a beet and goat cheese panna cotta salad (note to self: ask for the panna cotta recipe), which was beautifully plated (plates for each of us—I was impressed) and perfectly dressed. Our entrees were the elote ravioli and the risotto with duck confit, both superbly cooked and seasoned. For desserts we had the key lime pie and chocolate truffle cake, yum! The service was friendly and attentive but not overbearing. And we were presented with two nice little glasses of prosecco with dessert, in honor of our celebration. This was our first time here, and I might have liked the ambiance to be a little quieter and more romantic, but we were seated at a quieter table and actually enjoyed the livelier atmosphere. We will be back and bring friends!

Sugarbeet was excellent last night. It s restaurant week and they had a prix fixe menu that was dynamite. My main course of a pumpkin risotto with duck confit was as good an entree as I could have anywhere. The pear martini was superior. We really love this restaurant.

It was a special occasion and they treated us to a glass of bubbly. It was a nice touch. Our waiter recommended a great wine. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our birthday dinner celebration included oysters on the half shell, sea bass, verlasso salmon and rack of lamb. We also ordered and were looking forward to the roasted beet and chèvre panne cotta salad to share. Oysters were delicious but sadly our server forgot to place the salad order. When entrees were delivered, we asked about the salad which he admitted he forgot to place the order. We cancelled the order. All entrees were good but not remarkable. The lamb was tasty and included 3 chops although they seemed smothered in butter. The two fish entrees were better, as the salmon was moist and delicious. Wine selection was nice. Noise level was moderate to loud. Sadly everyone in the restaurant seemed to know we were celebrating my brother's birthday but the server, who was pleasant and seemed distracted at times. . Mostly an enjoyable evening with some disappointments. I might give Sugarbeets another try sometime, but would think twice about celebrating a special occasion there.

Took my wife here for our anniversary. Reservations through Open Table was easy. Complimentary champagne was a nice touch. Atmosphere is wonderful for a quiet, romantic meal. Each staff member wished us well and the service overall is outstanding. Extensive wine offerings. Both the sea bass and filet mignon were melt in your mouth delicious. Chocolate truffle dessert is the perfect finish to a perfect meal.

A little too loud and too chilly in the main dining room. Food was good but ambiance/vibe is soso.

Outstanding risotto - complex flavors, well prepared. Salmon was good. Bread was delicious. Very good wine list. Enjoyable evening!

WE LOVE Sugarbeet, which is why we brought our out-of-town friends there for dinner last night. All four of our entrees were excellent, but the peach salad that was recommended by our server was not up to par. The "peach" salad was mostly less than stellar tomatoes, and the bits of peaches that were present were mealy and tasteless. It must be the end of Palisades peach season, --they didn't belong in the salad. The dressing did save the day. Also, we, sadly, had to send our calimari back this time. The sauce on it was so fishy tasting that we couldnt' eat it. Our two vegetarian dishes and the salmon and sea bass were all great, as was the apple tarte, and our server was amazingly attentive. Note to Sugarbeet --please get rid of the cute little salt dishes and spoons! After I flipped the spoon out of the shallow dish three times, spraying salt over the table, I asked the server to remove it and bring us a shaker, which she did, as she said it happens all the time!

Every time we go to Sugarbeet it is a new culinary experience and surprise. Even though the menu might state it is "Rack of Lamb", you come away with a gastric experience different and more pleasurable than the last time. Kudos to the chef and his unique style and presentation. Ours server, Dale, was genuine and attentive. Great experience throughout.

Fantastic food! Loved the crispy cauliflower and carrots and the artisan cheese plate as apps. The cheese plate would be excellent for dessert! The special in-season salad with resh mozzarella salad peaches was amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious
