The beef soup is super salty and very fatty. To make matters worse, they gave me the wrong plate for my daughter! And I made sure to let them know that I don't want jalapeño or toro chili whatever they want to call it and they put one in the middle of the plate. Ok, I tried to try that beef “asada” and it was bland terrible with no flavor... it was not seasoned, full of tendons and when I called the restaurant the owner wasn’t helpful. And the truth is I won’t ever go back, in addition to the fact that the food is bad, it is very expensive!! A small soup and a plate of “asada” 32.00!! That's a robbery! There are plenty of other Mexican food restaurants in Longmont that are 1000% better and super delicious!! Save yourself a disappointment.

The tamale was dry. The burrito was good, kind of small. The tostada was excellent. I would order more of those.

Great service and authentic food, ive had the carne asada torta with fries, carne asada plate and enchiladas. The tacos are also good carne asada, barbacoa and lengua are my favorites. Ive yet to taste the tripas but ive heard they're also good. Definitely give them a try.
The prices are great and quality is also very good.
Recently tried their Menudo a few times and have to say it's one of the best if not the best I've had in a restaurant anywhere.
I very much enjoy their gorditas btradional with the main filling and beans and sometimes lettuce.
Since the food is great you get to taste the food and the quality of the masa of the gorditas. Usually would order chile verde mostly and recently tried their chicharron an dita been amazing.
I highly recommend Don Jose's if you want to try home style authentic food.

Establishment doesn't allow ESA animals. They don't believe in Emotional Support Animals and manager was extremely rude. Judging someone's state of emotion isn't business attire. My business will be going elsewhere. Allergies are everywhere and animals are everywhere. Your attempt to reason is really a poor excuse. There are federal laws and state laws for emotional support animals and service animals. Every review doesn't have to be about food. It also has to do with how the demeanor is with the staff/manager and the establishment. No second chance needed. There's many other restaurants to choose from.

I honestly want to give these guys a five-star rating, but that would not be honest of me. They are the best Mexican I've had in Colorado so far. The place looks like a typical uninviting taco shop from SoCal, which for me is a good sign that it is probably legit. The ambiance is drab, but right when you walk in, you'll notice most of the people eating there have ancestors from south of the border, another great sign. Chips and salsa are not complimentary and while the chips are definitely authentic tortilla chips they only give you a little hot sauce to dip. In my opinion if you have to pay for chips then for sure it should come with salsa picante, pico de gallo, and/or guac. I had a major burrito craving which is what led me to finding this place and driving an hour and a half to get there. I was not disappointed and would be happy to have them again but I wasn't blown away either. They have a different way of setting up their menu that I am used to but after looking at the menu for a minute I figured it out and actually it's pretty customizable for protein options. The prices are decent and you can definitely fill up without breaking the bank. The horchata is great, the tacos also great and I noticed they have menudo on the menu which I'm excited to go back and try.

This is my second trip there. The breakfast burritos are extremely bland. They are very dry. I'll not be going there again. The only good thing about him is they're pretty good size. The lady up front taking my order was very rude.
