An excellent addition to Longmont’s dining scene! We’ve been coming to The Den since they opened, and it continues to impress. Wonderful atmosphere and a unique menu. Easily the one place in Longmont for raw oysters. Don’t sleep on this place - it punches well above its weight.

Four of us dined here this past Saturday night. We opted for two specials: the fresh sole and the skirt steak with a chimichurri sauce. Both were well received. Other two entrees were the pork chop. My husband ordered his on the rarer side and it was more tender than the other one which was cooked medium well. The service was welcoming and the low lighting provided for a relaxed ambience. It's nice to see menu prices under $30 and not way high in the $40's as one sees today in many dining establishments. Kudos to The Den in Longmont. We'll be back!

Finally! In addition to the Westside Tavern we have a local restaurant and entrepreneur-owned restaurant and bar in a quaint, warm atmosphere serving delicious and interesting food by prompt responsive service at reasonable prices.

We enjoyed light crisp fish and chips, oysters on half-shell, clams and pasta and a uniquely dressed Caesar salad. All fresh.

Parking: Easy to find and easy access.

I ordered the lasagna at the Den on Eleventh, and unfortunately, it wasn’t quite what I expected. To me, it tasted like a lot of meat without much seasoning, layered with some pasta and sauce.

The servers were friendly, though the service was a bit on the slower side during our visit.

Last evening we enjoyed two dinner specials, the Argentinian Skirt Steak and the Dover Sole Muniere. Both dishes were incredibly delicious and frankly a bargain at $ 27 each. I don’t believe we’ve had a more delicious meal out (especially for this price) and we’ve eaten at some of the finest restaurants in Boulder County, Denver and Santa Barbara.
The service and cocktails were also first rate and one of my favorites, a Caesar salad, was also excellent. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. This place is killing it and is underrated in my opinion ! I recommend you check it out for yourself the next time you’re wanting a good dinner out. Enjoy!

My family & I came in on a Sunday evening and there was only 3 tables other than us dining. With how empty the restaurant was, the service was very poor. The server rarely checked back - maybe every 20-30 minutes or so even though there was barely anyone in the restaurant. We practically had to chase her down to get entrees ordered or another glass of wine.
The food tasted great but the service ruined our experience. Understandable if it’s busy, but we expected more since it was slow.

We have dined all over the country and the den’s chef is exceptional. They have the best fine dining food in Longmont. We always enjoy their dishes and drinks are spot on. This is one of our go to spots.

I love everything about the Den. If you haven’t been yet, you must go. I’ve been many times and am always impressed by the food and service. The vibe is perfect for a weeknight meal or a nicer date night. I’m loving their seasonal cocktails and I’ve LOVED everything I’ve tried on the menu.

Kid-friendliness: They have a great kid menu with activities and it’s a better value than even most fast food places.

We've been here about 4-5 times and I love the staff and presentation. But the food/drinks can use some work. I'd really like for this place to succeed! Which is why I keep coming back to try new dishes. :)

The Good/Bad/Ugly:

Mushroom Risotto/Butternut Squash Risotto - Y'all nailed it out of the park with these! Very delicious and definitely a hit.

Bucatini & Clams - the first time I had this, it was so delicious! The last time I had this, every clam had sand in it. It completely killed our dinner and I did mention it to the waitress who stated she would bring this up to the sous chef. All the flavors are there, but no one wants to crunch on sandy bits in a meal!

Scallops St. Jacques - this is probably the ugliest dish I've had. 5 scallops, 4 shrimps and cut up mushroom in a bowl of cheese? with two bread pieces on the side? I don't know what kind of flavor they wanted to present, but it was not tasty at all. And for $29? This dish has to go.

French Onion - Please keep this forever!

Salads - Too much dressing!

So-so dishes - Paccheri Pasta (where is the flavor? maybe lose the garlic/cream and stick w/tomato?), Chicken Marsala (a safe bet!), Buckner Farm Pork Chop (so-so), Fish N Chips (can't mess this one up!)

Appetizers: Yes! Keep them coming!

Cocktails: Less on the bitters on all the drinks and balance out the alcohol/mixer. We've tried the Old Fashioned, Den Margarita, Classic Manhattan, Spicy Dog, Bourbon Sour, Martini (asked for extra dirty, did not get extra dirty) and espresso martini. They either had too much bitters, too much alcohol or a watered down taste.
