My favorite Mexican place, great service, great food from their extensive menu! It is an authentic traditional Mexican restaurant and is really great!
The food is so awesome, they have generous portions, homemade salsa.

Best Mexican in Louisville. I wish I took a pic before i started eating but let my empty plate speak for itself.

Typically Crispy Chili Rellenos come with a chili and amazing Mexican cheese inside cooked to perfection…um the combo is tasty but don’t hide this $20 dish under cheese rice and beans with barely one small clump of green chilis in one and the other only cheese….and slices of cheese! Say what???!!!! Smoke and mirrors will sink you, Amigo

Simply a satisfying experience. Great service, prompt friendly waiter, with a smile. The outside dinning area, where we ate, is tree shaded and quiet (less street noise), as the establishment is a block or so away from the main drag. Inside, the booths give you a feeling of privacy with the padded high back bench seats. Reasonable prices for Louisville too. We both had a combination plate consisting of two chili rellenos (crispy shell) with beans, rice, and Guacamole, served with warm chips and tasty salsa. This was my second visit and I'll return to this restaurant on my next trip to Louisville.

Customer Service was the worst. Took forever to take our order plus had to wait to receive our food.I order the Carne Asada and it was awful. Dry and way to thin. Also everything else just tasted like it was bought from a store and just heated up. Even the tortillas were store bought. Not worth the time or money. Unfortunately the restaurant on it own is pretty cool but doesn't make uo for anything else.

The only problem with this restaurant is what to order off their huge menu! My husband had lingua, which he was so happy to find in Boulder County, and I had arroz con camirones (rice with shrimp....oh, and sauce, and cheese, and veggies!!). Even though we didn't have room, we topped it off with tres leches cake!

Pretty good food, but like most things in this economy - pretty darn expensive. The servers were nice, though the original salsa portion was so small we couldn't dip our chips lol.

Where do I start? I should have left after a trip to the restroom as the restroom was dirty, the tissue paper was not in the dispenser, and everyone had touched it, and the hand towels were on a big role where everyone had touched it with dirty hands. We ordered takeout food and when we got home at first I thought I was given a vegetarian taco salad as I didn’t see any meat. The chicken at most was about 3 tablespoons under shredded lettuce and several pieces of translucent tomato. There was about a half a teaspoon of grated cheese and that is it. There was no salsa or anything else on it. The flavor of what little meat there was bland . My family also ordered and it was just as measly portions as mine was . For what we paid, do yourself a favor go somewhere else you’ve been warned.

I'm a regular here for lunch specials awesome amount of food and great quality. Staff is always super sweet!
This place is truly a family style Mexican restaurant. Good food and lots of it. Great outside patio and great service. They were hosting a birthday party during our visit but we still got good service and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We’ve been here about a dozen times over the last couple years and have noticed a gradual decline in food quality. There is a sign on the door that says due to rising food costs, you will be charged for extra chips if requested. I have never seen that sign before, and it struck me as odd. It was actually a sign of things to come. It appears that, instead of adjusting prices on their menu, ownership has decided to skim on protien in the meals. I ordered fajitas, as usual, and there was barely enough to make 2 fajitas. Usually I can get 4 out of it. My wife typically gets the taco salad and pointed out that there was maybe a spoonful of meat spread out on the bottom of the bowl thing. The cutting back of me and the dishes is overwhelmingly obvious. I’m guessing that’s a cheaper way to increase profit than printing new menus with adjusted prices.Unfortunately, we will not be giving Casa Alegre another chance. There are several other Mexican restaurants within reasonable distance that we also enjoy.

Delicious Mexican food available either on their patio or one of several comfortable rooms. Our waiter easily managed our group and was happy to provide separate checks. Lots of convenient parking.
