We came here for a celebratory dinner with friends and it happened to also be Valentine’s Day. The table was decorated so nicely with cute vday stickers and chocolate covered strawberries. We had great food and great service. It was a very nice time, will definitely come again! Thank you!

We were a party of ten with young kids, and we arrived for an early dinner on Valentine's Day. The service was prompt, the attitude was positive and helpful, and the food was delicious. The egg rolls with brisket were very tasty, as was the John's Burger, which has a nice helping of blue cheese in it. We'll be back.

Had an excellent dinner tonight on Valentines Day. This place is so good that it makes no sense they weren't packed. I feel nobody knows it's here. We were greeted with chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling wine. Katie gave us attentive and friendly service the whole time. Everything was absolutely delicious!!! A wonderful part of our happy holiday! Thank you all!

this is such an incredible gem! the people are amazing! you are truly taken care of from the moment you walk in the door - warmth and graciousness. the atmosphere is just…happy! you want to stay! and the food…whatever you do, order the pretzels - they are made on site and they are INCREDIBLE! forever customers! everything we have ordered has been delicious! thank you so much, dear john’s table!🥰

Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at the chill/cozy vibe. The food sealed the deal and will have me coming back. Tons of gluten free options really made it easy for my main squeeze to find something fun to eat.

This place is a bust. The build out is fine, nothing special. The service was painfully slow. Almost two hour for lunch! Servers running through the dining room without making eye contact and checking on tables. Food arrived without us having silverware or condiments. Had to wait for someone to come back to get silverware and napkins because they just dropped the food and ran. The food was even worse. Burger over cooked and dry. Soup was oversalted. If you're going to lack in service at least execute in the kitchen. Unfortunately this place is failing on both fronts. Too many solid choices off Main Street in Louisville for this to be a worthy option.

Our first visit was a success - Heather was our server and she was really nice! After finding out it was our first time to John's Table she had great recommendations of things to try on our next visit. The mac and cheese with green chile was a nice change from the typical mac and cheese although I wish the breadcrumbs were a little crispier. The crispy hot chicken sandwich was really unique - so many layers of flavor. The only downside of our visit was the front foot bar on my tall barstool was missing - I switched out my stool with one at the bar and that made things much more comfortable. We can't wait to try brunch.

Couldn't recommend them more. Fantastic service every time. Friendly staff treats you like family and meals that never seem to disappoint. I will be returning again and again for the beautiful decor, lovely hosts, astounding servers, skilled cooks, and a very well run establishment. Katie and everyone at John's Table are great! We found this gem a few weeks back and have been nothing but impressed with the food, service and vibes. Our only complaint is that everything tastes so good that we can't eat enough. Try the fried chicken sandwich or ask for the chicken on a salad (secret menu). You will love it!
