Just got home and ate my burrito, I got the carnitas, it was pure grease and practically inedible. Grease was sweating out of the burrito the whole time and my hand was soaked. Wound up throwing the rest away. Felt like I got ripped off.

I was skeptical about how the new ownership would affect this place, but I am relieved that the Loveland location is still as great as I remember. The prices might be slightly different, but the quality and quantity you get is worth it! Definitely recommend this place if you are passing through or live here. It's now a Sunday ritual for us. The potato burrito is a must!

Staff are always amazing, food is always delicious, I love the potato burritos.

Vegetarian options: You create your own burrito here and the beans are vegetarian. Many options for vegetarian dinners to have a filling meal.

"Please speak up when ordering here.
I swear you have car salesmen of burritos working here.

I’ve been craving BCB for a week and know exactly how I like my burrito: super with filling, light potato addition (extra charge), guac, and sour (extra charge). It usually comes out to around $16-17.

Because I mentioned wanting potatoes and it was a Tuesday, they ended up turning it into a potato burrito with rice, beans, meat, sour, and guac (all extra charges) for $19… but, hey it came with a free drink

Foods always great, Just don’t be afraid to speak up

EDITED TO ADD: I saw that you left a reply, but for whatever reason it will not allow me to respond and because you are being so flagrantly dishonest, I felt the need to edit my original review in order to set that straight:

No Don, not once did I *ever* insult you at any point in our conversation. Nor was there any screaming, shouting, or yelling - from either of us.

I said, and I quote:

"This may sound like a stupid question, but..." at which point I proceeded to ask if your location did the same daily special schedule as the one in Fort Collins.

I also said that I hadn't been to a Big City in about a decade and "had felt dumb" when I'd walked in and seen burrito 'styles' instead of the filling options.

That said, when you answered in the affirmative, I did also say "aww, that's dumb. Well, I hope you have a nice da-" right before you hung up on me.

As for the rest: my burrito and fountain drink was rung up as $18 and change. I was so taken aback by the total that I never even got to the point of finding out the fountains dispensed coca cola products, my bad. 🤷‍♀️

At that point, I told the cashier thanks but no thanks, and walked out. The fact that you felt the need to attempt to defend your behavior with dishonesty speaks volumes, however. ✌️

ORIGINAL REVIEW: I can no longer speak to the taste or quality of the food, as I refuse to spend almost $20 for a potato burrito and a Pepsi because I had the misfortune of deciding to walk in on a Wednesday, instead of a Tuesday for the first time in a decade.

However, I can say without a doubt that the new manager or owner 'Don,' (at least in assuming he's a manager or even the owner, based on the fact that he doesn't bother to say more than his own name instead of that of the business when he answers the phone) did a rather exceptional job of ensuring that i won't waste my time or money on his establishment again, either, through his master-class lack of any customer service, his rudeness, and hanging up on me.

Thanks Don, you're a peach! 🍑

Highlights just how much Consuelo's, La Luz, Alberto's Express, Los Ponchos etc. actually *values* their customers. ✌️

I haven't had Big City Burrito in years, since the one in Greeley closed. Today, my husband was working in Loveland and got me a burrito on the way home. My one and only gripe is that I wish the online menu had better descriptions for the Picos. Back in the day, I'd always get a potato burrito with ranch, strawberry habanero, and corn salsa. Originally the corn salsa was pretty much just regular pico de gallo, but with corn in it. So today, when I looked at the menu and saw 'corn pico' I just assumed that's what I used to get. Whatever they put in my burrito as 'corn salsa' today was literally just corn in a gross sweet brown sauce (mole?). If the online menu had a better description of the picos I would have just asked my husband to order the normal pico, I was not expecting the corn pico to be what I got. Otherwise, the food is still fantastic.

You can get the same burrito for almost half the cost at Qdoba. Granted I think big city taste better however they still ask you for a minimum of a 20% tip when you pay. Guess the new owner can’t afford to pay their livable wage without tip, Even with the price increases.

Exactly like when I was younger. I think even the sign is the same. Never change please it's so good.
