Amazing food! Best Italian in loveland

Sneau Xone

Authentic Italian cooking whether you're looking for pizza, calzones, pasta, or sandwiches. Garlic knots are a great starter when your group is extra hungry. Traditional East Coast pizza cooked to your liking. Calzones are available in single and family sizes. Weekly specials such as manicotti.

Vegetarian options: Best veggie pie is always cheese.

Dietary restrictions: Small gluten-free pizza available

Kid-friendliness: Average

Wheelchair accessibility: The door is probably wide enough. Not automatic.

No kid menu šŸ‘Ž

Most of you who know me, I had a stomach bypass surgery. My stomach is now the size of an egg.
For the last year and a half I’ve been ordering child plates off of menus when dinning out. I have a medical card defining this, and if I’m informed I can’t order off of the children’s menu, I show the medical card and there are no questions asked.
Mind you, in a year in a half, I had to use the card once and all was good during that transaction.

UNTIL TODAY:
Blocky’s, I did not see the kids menu, I contemplated on ordering Lasagne. I asked the server at the counter if they have a kids menu, he said yes, but he would go in the back and ask the owner if I can order off of it.

Owner comes out, proceeds to tell me I can’t order off the kids menu. I kindly explain to him my surgery and my stomach is the size of an egg, and I have a medical card that enables me to order from the children’s menu.

Here is what I got in the reasons why I could not order off of the menu:

1. I need a letter from my doctor saying so, or, a phone number I can call to request the letter.

My reply was one of, I’ll give you the number right now. Then I asked, how does trying to get a letter today help me in wanting to eat here right now. I get an answer of ā€œI don’t know.ā€ Of course I say, this is why I have the card.

Then I get:
2. If the ā€œHealth Inspectorā€ finds out I sold a child’s plate to an adult I get written up. *** fact check below***

Of course my reply, that makes no sense. Why would a ā€œhealth inspectorā€ fine you for serving a child’s plate to an adult. No clear answer to that question.

I then said, I’m ordering a child’s cheese ravioli to- go please for my grandson.

Answer I get:
Nope, I can only sell kids menus items for dine in. I said, I’ll take it for dine in. His reply is, ā€œwhere’s the kidā€. Not here.

He then proceeds to tell me, he’s taking the children’s menu off of the menu for today so no one at this time can order off the children’s menu.

This is when kindly stated, that is fffin stupid and I walked out.

Look I get it. People try to scam the system all of the time. If he had everyone order off the child’s menu that could be problematic for his business.

The reality is, would the entire world know that he sold a child’s menu dish to me? Doubt it. So the thought of me starting a trend is next to none. Right?!!!
The other aspect of this is, I go to this place often. I’ve ordered many dishes dine in and take out. I’ve held large family celebration parties feeding family and friends their pizzas. My mother is in a long term extended stay, I brought her a spaghetti and meatball plate about 2 weeks ago. My brother in law ordered her a cheese ravioli dish and took it to her three days ago. My point is, we eat there a lot.

Any time someone on Facebook states, ā€œwhere is the best Italian pizza place in Lovelandā€ I’ve been quick to reply and say go to Blocky’s. They even have more than pizza…

Well, sad to say, I want support this business anymore. Nor will I be recommending them anymore.

At the end of the day, it’s not about the food and the quality thereof, it’s about how the owner handled this.

Totally unprofessional, lying about the ā€œHealth Inspectorā€ will write him up for selling a kids dish to an adult.
Lying about you can’t order kids menu items to-go (because I have done this several times in the past).
Lying about you can only eat child’s plates as a dine in.

Anyone with no integrity, and when lying comes so easy, why would I want to support them. My rant about ordering for my grandson was a ā€œcat and mouse gameā€ at this point just to see what type of answer I would get and of course l get more lies.

We LOVE this restaurant. The food is always fresh, and hot. The salads are very unique and well put together.

Where do I start? I spent almost $100 on complete trash food! I ordered for my daughter and I. We had garlic knots that were brought out in a bowl that had minimum a lb of butter. It had the sauce in the bowl as a side and was so full of butter we couldn’t even finish 2 knots because it was so messy and unsanitary. Then we ordered a chicken Caesar salad and the chicken straight tasted as if it came out of a microwave. Tasted very cheap. The salad had eggs in it. I guess it was my fault for not completely reading what was in the salad. Then we got the chicken parmigiana with pasta. The sauce was so bland. Tasted as if it came straight out of a can. The chicken was the same as it was in my salad.it was so disgusting. The quality of ingredients were very poor. I also ordered a small calzone which was under cooked and had a hair in it. I ordered a slice of cheesecake and that was almost 7 dollars for literally a sliver of a cake. Smh I’m sorry but we will NEVER eat here again!

I was craving an East Coast style Italian and boy I found it. Delicious bread, quality ingredients & the house made dressing is the bomb.com. Had a nice chat with the owner who was working a solo shift and casually killing it. I’ll be back for the pizza, without a doubt.

Our first time here was such a disappointment. Staff didn't seem like they didn't want to be there. Food was okay. The pizza slice we ordered for my youngest were not great. For waiting as long as we did the food was luke warm. The older gentleman brought food and talked to everyone else but us there. And before he goes off it the reviews about how he wished he would of told him it took over 10 mins for me to even get a togo container. We wanted to try this place after we saw a awesome ad about it but honestly it's not for us. Although I will say dish was good.

I am from NY and Italian. So many places in Colorado try to be NY style pizza. None are on point like Blocky's is.
