Amazing green Chile nothing I have tried in Colorado beats it. But for the dine in restaurant side of things, I rather take the food to go as the restaurant interior is very plain for a family mexican restaurant.
The food is just okay - a step up from taco bell. The beans taste like canned beans and the rice like minute rice with tomato sauce.
if you don't smother everything in green chile, you're doing it wrong. Smother your burrito, smother your stuffed sopapilla, smother your girlfriend, I would even recommend smothering the red chile with green chile. Everything gets green chile.
Best service and Mexican food in Loveland!!
We have been going to Santiagos for many years. I have wanted to write a review for a long time but never took the time. The breakfast burritos are so inconsistent. I am not sure why they ask if you want mild, 1/2 and 1/2 or hot because the burritos are dry and rarely have any sauce in them. If they do have sauce, it is not throughout the entire burrito. It may be at one end or the other. If you want to guarantee sauce in your burrito, you have to pay for it. I wish they would include sauce that they are known for. It would make their burritos so much better.

I have eaten here since 2006, but won't anymore! Food is nothing like it was, yesterday's take out was terrible. The two cheese enchiladas with red sauce had no flavor and was like glue and had gloppy yellow cheese. The crispy Chile relleno was canned green chilis with the same yellow cheese fried in an egg roll wrapper! The soft Chile relleno was canned green chilis and yellow cheese in some kind of egg batter mixture that wasn't very good. The tacos were no better than what you get at Taco Bell.

The food was good but.... not authentic, not hot at all. It's been really hard to find good Mexican food in Loveland. Everything is always watered down. Whitewashed . It's disappointing, especially coming from santiago's.

This place has gone downhill. Not sure if management or what. Breakfast burritos are gross now, used to be pretty good. Ordered two burritos and a side of bacon, was told I can't order bacon in the drive thru (lol what?) because it takes too long. Zero cars behind me, and you can't serve bacon? Ordered a quesadilla another day, sorry takes too long can't do it. So maybe close your drive thru then if ONLY premade burritos can be sold through it. Crap service and subpar food. Won't be back.

I had the tamales and cheese enchilada for lunch one day and went back for the chorizo breakfast burrito on Thursday. The only reason I am marking down on service is that I don't understand why they only offer one protein a day for the breakfast burritos. Otherwise they serve the epitome of what a breakfast burrito should be. Also, the horchata is delicious, tastes like homemade without any gritiness.

I thought that the original Casa Bonita in Lakewood, CO had bad food. The Santiago's in Loveland is even worse. Taco Bell is even better. I have had the breakfast burritos in Lafayette and Ft. Lipton. But, the dinner food in Loveland is sooooo bad I wouldn't feed it a dog or even a hog
