Super cute spot. We enjoyed our time but we wish they had seating at the bar. They only had large occupancy tables and it got very crowded and it seems a missed opportunity to seat singles or couples during the cold months. The wine was excellent as well. The most disappointing thing was the price of the charcuterie board. TWENTY FIVE dollars for a very very small plate of food. I know prices across the board are higher but the severing we received was absolutely not 25 worth of food. I would maybe pay ten. The flatbread was very good but the need to train the staff to cut the bread after all the toppings are added. I grabbed once slice and the whole thing of prosciutto came off. Very messy to eat.
Absolutely beautiful venue and space with gorgeous interiors and exteriors with the mountain and river. Wine can be a bit hit or miss. Dry reds and Chardonnay were wonderful, however ♥️
"My sweetheart and I had a truly magical pre-holiday date night at the "Taste of Sweetheart - Christmas Edition" event at our favorite local winery. It was the perfect way to usher in the festive season, surrounded by friends and the warm glow of Christmas cheer. The evening surpassed all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in the cozy ambiance of the barrel room, beautifully decorated for the holidays. The selection of wines was exceptional, each one perfectly paired with delectable bites. The unlimited wine pours were a delightful bonus, allowing us to savor all of their exquisite wines. Adding to the festive atmosphere was the enchanting live music that filled the air, creating a truly romantic and memorable setting. The staff at Sweetheart Winery, as always, were incredibly attentive and welcoming, making us feel like valued guests. Their dedication to creating such a special experience is evident in every detail, from the impeccable wine selection to the thoughtful pairings and the warm hospitality. Sweetheart Winery remains a cherished destination for us, consistently providing unforgettable date days and nights and a true taste of the good life. We highly recommend a visit, especially during their holiday events." Hilary & Tyler Edwards
My wife and I got married here at the beginning of October. We had a long engagement of two years, but booked this venue very early in the planning process. In that time frame they had sold the venue to a new owner. That brought some complications of slower and not so thorough communication. We live in a different state so I traveled out to CO for my 30 day walk through and only at that time was told there was an addendum to my contract that had to be signed of security on the premises throughout the reception because of issues with outside alcohol. In addition to that I was also told that day that the cider company they were using was going out of business and I would not have the option to buy kegs of cider and I had limited options of canned cider to purchase.
I was pretty disappointed that I wasn't informed earlier. All that being said Amanda is the day of coordinator and she really came through. She called us the day before the wedding informing us that the venue decided to purchase the cider company, so we did get the option of kegs that day.
I would say my positive review goes to Amanda and the beauty of this place. It truly is a gorgeous venue. Amanda made our day very easy and I really appreciated her attentiveness.
We have been going to Sweetheart for years and we’re disappointed with the changes the new owners have made with regard to food service. There are no longer servers (you order at the bar) and you are expected to run your own food to your table. This includes bussing your own plates, utensils and water. The owner informed us that the staffing model was changed to give them the ability to accommodate more people. We will stop in to buy a bottle of wine, but don’t intend to dine there in the future.
I miss the old sweetheart. Table service instead of bar service. Affordable wine over Napa valley prices. Double digits for a wine slushy? No thank you. The food is served in recyclable containers yet, there are no recycling bins? This used to be a gem in Loveland. I’m afraid the new ownership cares more about profit and shoving “frozés” in your face than their customers and the city of Loveland. Used to be my favorite spot, but I’ll never go again.
Amazing experience! We were visiting the Ft Collins area from Omaha, NE for a family funeral and needed some peace and tranquility. Sweet Heart Winery gave our family exactly what we needed. The wine is amazing, the landscaping is gorgeous and sitting down a long the Thompson River, drinking wine was heart warming. Thank you to Chad and the entire staff for making us feel so comfortable!
I heard rave reviews so had to visit. The property is beautiful. The flatbread is so good, but the charcuterie was pretty disappointing and included pepperoni…the artichoke dip platter was meh. The white wine blend was peachy, clean, and light really enjoyed it. The menu listed a few desserts but only the only dessert they had was chocolate cake which I do not recommend.
I was expecting table service, apparently this was cut by new owner.
The staff was unfriendly, I was ignored by 3 people (one was the owner) when I was at the counter to close out my payment.
Updated September 2024: Not the Sweetheart I have loved and no wait service. Love the extra seating. Don't love that the bottle I used to buy for $30 is now $47! When I mentioned the prices have increased, the response was we are are dealing with inflation. I think stating there have been alot of upgrades and they hope I enjoy it would have been a better response. On that note, the staff just wasn't kind; they didn't seem in a hurry but couldn't be bothered to do any more than take my counter order and we spent about $200 in 90 minutes (2 bottles, 2 flat breads, 2 apps and 2 deserts). Still, a lovely property, just probably won't visit as often or stay as long. Sweetheart, you're breaking my ❤️. September 2022: Really special place. The location, wine and snacks make for a complete experience. Will be back again and again.

Awesome place and great Service. Live Music was Great and love the different sections of the Winery outside.
Enjoyed a function hosted here. Most importantly, Sweet Heart has a phenomenal staffing level, where you will not be ignored. They kept fresh food (which beyond just tasty) out for the group I was with. The food was super creative and very delicious! Oh ... and the wine was good enough to get some shipped home!! Really good people, setting, food AND wine!
Wonderful wine, friendly and helpful service, tasty charcuterie. A fantastic outdoor seating area! Loved the live music!
It took me moving away from Colorado before I decided to finally visit this gem. The scenery is second to none, with the Big Thompson River running through the property and also the mountain range view.
Also, the staff is incredibly friendly and the wines are outstanding. Specifically, the Cab Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are A+ quality. I wish I would have visited often when I lived here.
Absolute terrible customer service!! Terrible experience
