This place was a delight! I am not from town and just looked for places to go, and we picked a gem! The staff was very accommodating and made us feel comfortable. The menu is huge, there's like three pages of margaritas: I was actually a bit overwhelmed by the paradox of choice! I had three tacos, all of which were great. The place was still adorned for Christmas, which gave it a warm and inviting aura. I would definitely come back if I am back in town!
Five stars. La Mariposa is fantastic. The food is genuinely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere is top notch, warm and welcoming without trying too hard. Drinks are excellent, the service is friendly and attentive, and the overall ambience is a big thumbs up all around. Just a really wonderful experience from start to finish. Also worth noting: Lyons somehow has two really great Mexican restaurants, and La Mariposa is absolutely one of them....
We had a party of 14 and they accommodate us with ease. The food was awesome, except for one of the dishes which the staff took care of immediately. I totally recommend this restaurant for small or large parties.
