Lovely experience. The food was phenomenal. Compliments to the chef in creating dishes that are familiar yet unique and distinct to the palate.Dietary restrictions: Other party in attendance has a gluten allergy. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable to the dishes that were gluten-free.

3 out of our 4 appetizer/mains were significantly over salted - it takes a lot for my husband to say this, as he LOVES salt. The ‘soft egg’ on our salad was so undercooked that the white was liquidy and didn’t even hold together. I had to send my pasta back because it was markedly on the wrong side of al dente. Our server was a bit slammed and didn’t have time to check back with us after serving the mains, and we had to wait 10-15 minutes for her to come back; then said she would have to ‘ask Chef’ if he would re-fire my dish. I guess he decided I wasn’t a Philistine (a lá the great food movie ‘Big Night’) and agreed to do so. Meanwhile, my husband’s dish got cold as he waited for mine to come back. I don’t remember an apology for the undercooked pasta. If the dish hadn’t cost $28 I probably would have just chewed through it, but at that price , especially for the small portion size, it needed to be right. The farinata was interesting and delicious. The coconut rum cake for dessert was thick and claggy and oddly textured with all the grated coconut in it. The raspberry syrup could have saved it, but there was not nearly enough of it, so we had to leave half of the dry cake on the plate. All in all, it was disappointing to spend so much money on a meal that had so many issues.

Best food I have had in the Boulder area after living here for 7 years. It was SO SO good. Everyone who worked there was generous with their time and attentive, and the food was exceptional. The celeriac was one of the best things I have ever eaten. High-fives to the chef!

Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve ever had in Colorado Every course was as close to perfect as it could be. Unusual dishes, beautifully prepared and presented, and a patient Wait who translated the menu. If you want regular steak and potatoes, don’t come here!

Appreciated them being open on New Years Eve. To be fair, part of the culinary letdown may be attributable to the holiday schedule… But I do want to call attention to the very poor quality of the food and the puzzling aspects of the menu. There was a heavily deep fried and very dense mozzarella stick with sea urchin on top. What? Like Chuck-E-Cheeses mozz sticks with a plop of sushi on top. Similar reactions to the tuna carpaccio with pesto (*was not tuna!*), black olive, and chalky pears. Weird. Worst was the truffle bucatini, because they ran out of truffle, and still served the dish ($38 for buttered noodles). Though service was good, we were seated 30 minutes late, and I’m disappointed that the truffle-less bucatini was served, given the obvious omission. Maybe things are better during regular service, but I wouldn’t trust returning after such a flop.

Food is absolutely amazing and unique. Everything is perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is also 5 star except for the noise level. Adding sound buffers would improve the experience greatly!

Simplifying the terms used on the menu would be very helpful and would have avoided us from ordering the wrong thing, even after an explanation from the waitress.

short story: go, with friends, make a reservation.this lil gem has been on the list for a while and for all the right reasons. We finally made the beautiful short trek up the hill with some friends and Marigold delivered to expectation.the cute and smartly appointed space is inviting and focuses you on your company and cuisine. the service is attentive, and prompt, but still casual.this pairs nicely with the expertly crafted dishes . the lengua and pastas were stand out. their negroni was one of the best I have had. looking forward to returning soon.Kid-friendliness: older foodie kids!

Beware the reservation fees. We were excited to try this place but when my companion came down with covid they refused to work with us to reschedule. We weren't even looking for a refund, just wanted to push our dinner out until he was fit to go out again. I guess they would have preferred we come with a case of covid?

I have never been so rudely treated at a restaurant my whole life. I'm from NY but now live in Hawaii and was there with a lahaina lawmaker and fire victim to help heal and learn about the recovery efforts in CO (Marshall fire and Lyon flood) and it seems the vultures came in, took the land, and enabled this establishment for the newbie "glitterati" of the area. They made us sit at the bar despite plenty of tables; and then they asked us to move again. I watched them serve everyone else and ignore us every time we tried to get their attention. I asked them what they recommended and they said the "skate". Gross. I think they were trying to dupe us. The native Hawaiians don't eat skate - they would have figured it out if it's good over the centuries. And in no way it'd be fresh - in middle of landlocked CO. I think they treated me bad because I'm brown. But I'm also a licensed attorney and successful business woman and my money is just as good. We learned A LOT from the visit on what to avoid in the recovery of lahaina. These people were Disgusting, rude, and racist!
