Wildly disappointed. Decided to give this place another chance. Came in around 3:30, ordered what she offered me that was vegetarian, a chai and a (stale $7) “cruffin”
I was told i was getting a “breakfast panini”, it was actually just a toasted bread sandwich with egg and hatch chiles. I paid over $30 for a decent drink, not even mediocre sandwich and a stale “cruffin”
Man i miss the old place.
Disappointed would be an understatement.
Perfect spot for coffee and conversation!
Want to counter the negative review claiming they did not know they had to get their drink from the counter. That’s got to be a joke.
YUM!!
Date pudding kouign thing? DELISH
honey vanilla latte? GOOD
Service? SWEET
I like this place because of the atmosphere, the kind people who work there, and the space that is conducive to working on my laptop. The drinks are great; the pastries have an odd consistency. Over crisp and dry at the edges, and too dense in the middle. But the people are very nice and the indoor and outdoor space is perfect for relaxing and working.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free muffins are available.

If you haven't had the pleasure of visiting Moxie Bread Company in Lyons, you're truly missing out on a gem! This delightful bakery is a haven for anyone who appreciates incredible pastries and artisanal bread. From the moment you step inside, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the tantalizing aromas will have you hooked.
Let’s talk about our favorite pastries. The lemon juniper cruffin is a must-try; it's a perfect balance of zesty and aromatic flavors that dance on your palate. The butter croissant is simply divine—flaky, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth good. If you're in the mood for something sweet, the caramel apple Danish is a heavenly treat that combines a perfect blend of sweet and tart with a rich, buttery pastry.
And let's not forget the raisin challah bread—it's beautifully braided and has the perfect texture, making it a fantastic choice for breakfast or a special treat any time of day.
What truly sets Moxie apart is the incredible staff. They are not only friendly and welcoming but also passionate about their craft. Every visit feels personal, and you can tell that they genuinely care about providing a top-notch experience for their customers.
Everything at Moxie Bread Company is delicious period. Whether you're stopping by for a quick pastry/coffee or stocking up on bread for the week, you can’t go wrong. I can’t recommend this place highly enough! Treat yourself and make Moxie a regular stop—you won't regret it!

A friend had been raving about Moxy for a while so when we were driving through Lyons, we decided to stop.
We ordered breakfast paninis. The filling - eggs, cheese, green chile - was great. But when you put a sandwich on sliced bread in a panini press, you don't get a panini; you get a sandwich on overtoasted, dry bread.
Then onto to the chocolate croissant. Do you know what you get when you overbake a croissant? You get brittle, crunchy pastry on the outside. Seems like it could have been a wonderful, flaky pastry, but it wasn't.

I'm not a fan of bad reviews, so I'll keep from leaving 1 star. I've been to this spot many times in the past, but when it was under a different name. I'll start with the good- The place has a really comfortable sitting area where you can hang out and enjoy your drink & food. While we were there, we saw several people on their laptops. They have pastries, bread, and drinks. They sell coffee by the bag, which is convenient if you're wanting your coffee at home or elsewhere. The store also has different types of swag for you to buy. On to the bad- That would start as soon as we tried to order a coffee. Not a real difficult order. The staff stared at us as if were weren't even speaking, and after we stated what we wanted one more time, one of the employees said that he couldn't hear us. 3 feet away and we repeated the order again. We sat down to wait for our coffees. That turned into a 10 minute deal. I guess we were expecting someone to tell us that our coffees were ready, but we were mistaken. They sat on the end of the counter for upwards of 5 minutes. My mistake for not checking. Finally, the young man that couldn't hear our order earlier came out and basically whispered "Do you want your coffee? It's been at the counter for a while."
Hopefully, they were just having an off day. For the sake of other customers, I really hope that was the case. Strange vibe. As I said earlier in the review, really comfy sitting area. They also have a lot of outdoor seating, for when the weather is good.
