If you've ever read/watched Fried Green Tomatoes and wanted to experience The Whistle Stop Cafe, this is how I'd describe this place. The food was possibly the best BBQ I've had in a long time! And the service, I don't even know where to begin; we didn't know a soul there but, every single person was so warm and inviting, they just made us feel like family.

I’m in town from Denver visiting friends who were adamant about visiting. They were right! Our service was outstanding with consistent and enjoyable check-ins, jokes, and an all-around amazing attitude and vibe from Austin. He recommended the brisket and veggie mac and cheese and it just about changed my whole life. One of our servers, Olivia, was also an absolute pleasure who made our experience even better. Highly recommend Slow Groovin for both the amazing service and the delicious food! 🩷

The sandtc of smoked tenderly grilled chicken, lightly bread and fried, was crispy and tender at the same time. The smoky flavors were just heavenly! The Lager on tap made for a perfect accompaniment.
I recommend sitting on the bar table on the patio to enjoy the beautiful mountain views while relishing your lunch.
Emma was a great hostess!

The BBQ here was excellent! I tried the pulled pork sandwich and absolutely loved it—the meat was tender, flavorful, and had just the right amount of smokiness. The restaurant itself has a really cute and welcoming vibe, which made the whole experience even better. The portions were generous, and everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked tasty. Overall, it’s a great spot to enjoy delicious BBQ, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a casual, satisfying meal.

Fantastic local staple
We showed up as a large group/about 11 of us.. yesterday/Sunday... for the highlight of our all day motorcycle riding get together... Aside from the unbeatable amazing great double fantastic food and gorgeous mountain life community and atmosphere there.. The staff, our server in particular and his and hers others helping with this somewhat eclectic gathering of motorcycle type people... were nothing short of above and beyond in the service they rendered, from saran wrap around the to- go box's to breaking out the complexities of our individual bills and payment types... any tip we left in whole our as individual would not do justice to the fine efforts the Slow Groovin BBQ staff members made for us. Amazing find in all. Thank You, ... Good times always.

Slow Groovin is an absolute must. The burnt ends and cornbread were out of this world. Auzzie was a phenomenal and engaging server and made the experience that much better.

Had brisket and sausage plate with fried okra on the side. This bbq is as good or better than any we have had in Kansas City, and we like KC bbq a lot! There were 2 bbq sauses and a bottle of house hot sause, which was rich and full of spices and chili peppers. I combined them all and wow. The meat was beyond cut with a fork. I couldn't take my big bites because the meat flaked off the fork! Mmmm. Slaw was fresh and tasty. We often take the beans served with most bbq for granted. You will not take their beans for granted. They are memorable. If you like cornbread, or even if you don't or never have tried it, try theirs. It was special. We asked what was in it. It was a secret. The secret ingredients were whispered to us, but, it's a secret. I can't tell the secret. Marble is a bit out of the way, but, try Slow Grooving. You will like it!
