Drove from Denver to get some prime rib. Extremely disappointed to walk in and discover that they close at 8. It was 8:03 and told the lady that we drove 160 miles to eat here and that google has their hours as open til 9. She still turned us away. I won’t be going back for the rest of our stay in Alamosa.
Sucked

So the limited menu is kind of a trip to deal with but the food wasn’t bad.
There was some issues but it was a busy night and our waitress serenity was doing her best to get everything correct. All and all dinner was good.

Great simple menu. They were busy the night I went and were a little slow, but it was delicious and had a cozy vibe.

We have been to several Quincy locations and have enjoyed them all. We took our 13 year old neice with us to the Monte Vista location and, when we arrived, she looked around and kept saying how fancy it was. Be sure to notice the bar and the (I kid you not) ceiling.

Jamie was amazing! She was greeter, server, bartender all rolled into one!! We watch her work in a full restaurant with ease! I hope this business appreciates her gift!! Great job Jamie!

We went on prime rib night and it was really good. The wedge salad had a nice flavor it was okay. Not like it used to be. And all of our potatoes, we're barely lukewarm. They have the best margaritas in town. Best to make reservations it does get packed! Plenty of street parking. The restaurant is getting a little worn out with Booth seating needing some repair. Waitresses were very nice.

Absolutely amazing. What a treat in the heart of the Monte. The limited menu means what comes out of the kitchen is incredible. If you're down in the valley make it a point to stop in here and have a heck of a steak.

Steak was good. Before you go, know this:
It’s a really fixed menu:
You can get filet mignon in 4 sizes. That’s it. Except on Fri-Sat when prime rib is added.
There is literally nothing else on the menu. Smart play for small town steakhouse.
It comes with baked potato and wedge salad (ranch not blue cheese) and a slice of (really good) bread.
Know that the “veggie plate” is the salad and potato.
There is Mac and Cheese for a big side or kids.
No desserts.
Price is reasonable.
Ambiance is cool old time bar/saloon feel.
I’d come back again on a weekend for the prime rib.
Service was solid.

Filet Mignon for a Bargain! Ordered a 12 oz, got like a 16 oz cut! Dinner was like $26.99. Honestly, I have no idea how they are making money??? Had the rest of my family there and we all got more Filet than specified.
