We just left the Polished Bean and my breakfast burrito is so damn good I felt compelled to write this review, it can’t wait another minute. We love this place, we’ve taken to staying over in Monte Vista (versus Del Norte or south fork), just so we can hit it up in the morning. The ladies that work the counter and grill are so sweet. The breakfast burritos are chock full of delicious thick cut bacon, shredded potatoes, and (I think) cotija cheese, then GRIDDLED. Just, *chef’s kiss* Thank you Polished Bean, you have a great thing going and we adore you.

The owner Rhonda is wonderful when she’s there your food comes out so good so maybe that’s why it’s so good on the weekends but during the week it’s not I caution everyone do not buy pancakes from there. They used to be delicious and fluffy and so good and now I guess they’re making them with a wheat flower and honey oh my God they smell so bad they smell like dough like just like flour and your whole car smells bad when you’re taking them home. Usually your car smells wonderful like breakfast like you just bought it from the store and it’s wonderful, not this morning and the only bad thing really about the place is if you complain or you go back and you want your money back or something they get mad at you in the cook like act stupid instead of being courteous and kind to the customer they’re not !

A tiny hole in the wall cafe inside a granite countertop sales store (?!?). Pretty pricey for an "Italian" sandwich that was 1 slice of ham and salami, a leaf of lettuce and a smear of mayonnaise (yuck). Maybe a dozen french fries, bottled soda, came to $9ish :-0

We drove by this place once because we thought it was a furniture shop. The front of the building is, but the restaurant is in the back and also has a drive through. Although it was a little hard to find, we enjoyed it and will stop in again!

I hate to give a poor review for a small restaurant. I went in for coffee and came out smelling like bacon grease. As soon as you walk into the furniture store and proceed back to the coffee shop you can see and smell a thick haze of cooking smoke. It appears that their kitchen is not vented to the outside. I now smell like bacon and eggs even though I just went in a couple minutes for some coffee. The almond latte tasted like it was over sweetened.
