Great Mexican restaurant with an amazing atmosphere and equally great food.
Love everything about this place! The food, the people as well as the ambiance.
Great spot in Montrose. Good atmosphere in the bar area, friendly service, and yummy food.
The gal who waited on us didnt ask if we were ready to order , she said what do you want, was eating, on her phone, didn’t bring my husband a glass for his beer after he had requested one, took his plate without asking if he was done, never bothered to refill his water. He had to ask for more chips & salsa since she didn’t ask then took the stuff to be refilled with an attitude The food which took forever to arrive was not the best . We will NOT be going back
Really good authentic food. Drinks were excellent also! The only thing I could come up with to complain about is the dining room was a little dark for us.
Absolutely delicious!!
I will never eat here again... The shrimp tacos had good flavor. However 2 bites into my refried beans I feel a hair in my mouth and it wasn't mine. I tell the waitress about the hair. I got no sincere apology and was asked if I wanted the cook to remake my food. I had the cook remake my food to go because by this point I'm running late to work. After several minutes the waitress comes back with my to go dinner. She tells me that my food was remade fresh and gives me a 5 dollar discount. Later as I sit down to eat my shrimp tacos and attempt to give this place a second chance. I come to find the 2 shrimp tacos that I had left on the hairy plate. Despite the 5 dollar discount I ended up paying over 30 dollars for food that I couldn't eat. If you come across this place on your search just scroll past it, as they earned first place on my black list.
This is one of the best tasting Mexican restaurants in Montrose. I enjoy many of their meals. The food tastes great.
Typically eating takes longer at Amelia's, however, because the service is somewhat slower than other Mexican restaurants in the area.

In general I steer away from leaving negative reviews, especially for a small business, but I want other potential diners to know they might be in for a rough ride from a customer service standpoint at this place. I called four days in advance to make a reservation for a large party, and I left a message in the morning. I called again in the late afternoon (I tried to time my call to be the least inconvenient for the staff) because I knew if they could not get us is we needed time to look elsewhere. I suspect the woman who answered the phone saw that it was me calling again because she answered with a "hello?" instead of saying the name of the restaurant. I asked if I could make a reservation for a large party and she cut me off saying, "yeah, I got your message." I was very irritating to her, that was clear. She insisted there was no way she could get us in even when I asked if we could just get four regular tables and split our party up. She just said they were too busy. I understand that, but she was really rude and made me feel like I was quite unreasonable in wanting to come to her establishment. It's too bad. We were looking forward to spending a lot of money on margaritas. No one who wants to become a patron of a business should be spoken to the way she spoke to me. A little courtesy goes a long way. I guess this woman is just too successful to care. It sucks.

Only reason why I'm leaving this review.. I Live an hour way. i come here to eat. It is 7:25pm . I got told that they were closed. But there is still a ton of people in there eating and waiting on their food. They say they close that 8 o'clock online. .. I had a party of seven. Then I've seen a party at 2 walk in the door and not come back out.. They allowed them to go in and eat. We have came in here and eat many a times .. Their service is not the greatest but they still have good food... I guess maybe I just need to start finding somewhere else to eat and it's not Going to be here anymore. I love to support family owned businesses because I have one myself. What's the worst part about I always told people . The best place to come eat for a Mexican food. Was here..
