A lot of potential here but not sure what they want to be. Food looked appealing on the menu, but not very good. Even the drinks were just OK. I feel like they need to pick a few things and do them better than everyone else. Almost feel like they're trying too hard to be trendy, but not quite nailing it.

F-ing nightmare!!! This place is a wreck. I read the review about how they didn't pay employees and asked around. Apparently it is true!! We read the large number of negative reviews but decided to go "try it out". What a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!! I so wish we had gone anywhere else. We were so angry by the time we left, it ruined the night for both of us. Don't take the chance.

My friend and I tried their breakfast menu. Service was slow, one person acted as waitress, hostess and bartender. The menu list drinks from the bar such as Bloody Mary, ( they were out of mix), Tequila Sunrise ( they were out of Tequila) Grapefruit mimosa ( out of Grapefruit juice ) Ice Tea (do not carry it)So many people were getting up and walking out. We ordered. My breakfast was wrong. The waitress returned with my order, Biscuits & Gravy. The biscuits were not fresh and were burned on the bottom. Gravy was lukewarm with chopped green onions all over. The onions dominated the flavor of the gravy. My friends French toast was simple white sandwich bread. Described with a bourbon sauce.... no bourbon sauce( probably out of that too), but plenty of maple syrup. I do not recommend the breakfast. A waste of time and money.

Sad how this beautiful building in now home to a 'standoff' situation that is running away business!! The air conditioner is not working and it is too hot to enjoy your food!! Restaurant people say it's the owners responsibility to fix, LL says it's up to new tenants to fix. Meanwhile, food was good, staff was minimal but tried to help, and bathroom was very dirty. I won't go back until A/C is restored, hours of operation are restored and consistent, and there is someone polite to great me. I can get all these problems at home!

This place is terrible, so terrible it felt like a joke. Our bartender was drunk and couldn't make a drink to save his life (5pm). Every table in there had problems with their food, so we skipped that all together. Won't be back, but we'll gladly joke about this place every time we drive by.

I just moved here from Denver. I read the reviews and heard all the scuttlebutt from the locals regarding the trials of this new restaurant. First of all, I have to say, after living in this small town for almost a year my observation is that Montrose many times hurts it’s own by not supporting new business. It makes no sense to me. This restaurant is struggling and needs help but the product is exceptional and the vision is novel. Do we really need another corporate chain here? Let’s put our best foot forward and be a supporter not a detractor. This business affects several people within our community and their livelihood. And the quality of this product deserves our grace. Let’s help them figure it out.That said, I ordered an appetizer, two signature cocktails and an entree with a glass of wine.The server was a beautiful young lady just starting out in work life; Gwen, a sophomore at the local HS. She was attentive and contentious and she is going to go far because of her good customer service skills. The food was extraordinary as were the cocktails. I ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and cool as a cucumber cocktail. ThenI ordered the surf and turf and the “Clyde”. When my dinner came out the surf was missing to which they quickly rectified the oversight and actually added more prawns than were in the normal entree. The owner suggested a delicious red blend to go with my meal.I was very pleasantly surprised because of all the negative things I’d heard. So glad I never make a decision based on other people’s opinion, because this was a truly a wonderful experience. Can’t wait to go back.

Visited in May, Staffed by chef; maitre’d, bartender and waiter(same person). Delicious drinks, food and ambiance. Earlier (2021) reviews a real mystery. Definitely on my REVISIT list!

Food was great. The Pad Thai was not dry. It was a combination of spicy and sweet taste. I loved it. The manager made me a special drink. People who work there were friendly. I’m recommending this place.

We are from out of town. The place looks really cool.. an old church converted to a restaurant. That is about where the great experience ended... took 60 min to get one of two appetizer then 15 min later to get the meal...salmon with broccoli because they ran out of asparagus and the broccoli was almost ice cold.. then half of the second appetizer showed up. What a mess. Took almost the entire meal time to get replacement broccoli.They did try to make up for it with additional free food. The owner did explain that they were short staffed because any one that gets hired will not show up. I blame the govt for that.Will give them another shot when we come back.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating, atmosphere, beautifully made drinks, and the food was incredible. It was a great night with a different variety of options compared to other restaurants in town. They have done a great job with this place!!

We went here last fall and were so disappointed with the service we did not return until recently. We went on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised. They seem to have worked out some of the kinks and the service and the food was great. We returned two weeks later and took our daughter and family for her birthday. Food is great and service was excellent. We will definitely keep going back. Give them another chance you won’t be disappointed

The place is an absolute conundrum. My wife and I had a delicious lunch of pad Thai and wings. The service, energy, and lack of awareness as to how to run a restaurant, particularly one that supposed to be high end, failed to meet our expectations. I don’t write many reviews, largely because I don’t trust most of them, but this review is particularly difficult because the food was outstanding. With that in mind we will be back with/for another try,...We will be giving them another chance… Sooner rather than later. Here’s hoping they have a front house turn around.

Tried this restaurant when they first opened. The food was average and the service was terrible. We waited forever for our order to be taken and even longer for drinks and food. We tried to give them a second shot. Saw they were open online and then called and asked if the outdoor seating was open. The employee said he thought the outdoor area would be open. We drive 20 miles and arrive and go inside and they tell us they were closed ? Online it said they were open and we called.. why not mention you are closed when we call ? NEVER again...
