Shame on Montrose Regional Health and CEO Jeff Mengenhausen for asking staff to be scabs for Telluride Ski Resort. We should be supporting ski patrol who keep the mountain safe and are demanding better wages and conditions. Asking MRH staff to take on this job is reckless and places both them and Telluride guests at risk. Shameful! My Dr. ordered bloodwork on an outpatient basis. The person who admitted me made multiple errors in that she did not print out the bloodwork orders. Then I went and got my bloodwork done. Then, when my Dr. had not received my results, I called them and was told that they do not send the results to my Dr. It’s MY responsibility to obtain the results and give them to the Dr. Now, a month later, I get a call saying that they missed a lab and want me to come back!
I was admitted to Montrose Regional Health in the early morning hours of July 5th after experiencing a sudden inability to breathe, followed by coughing up blood. The emergency room team acted quickly and with great care, getting me in for a CT scan right away. Concerned by what they saw, they transferred me to the ICU for close monitoring.
