I love this grocery store and have been a loyal customer for 4 years since I moved here from ca. I've decided to leave this review in hopes they can improve certain areas. I have arthritis and rely on buying pre cut fruit and veggies because my hands just can't cut it up well. For the last month or longer I've noticed there's often not any stocked precut fruit. When I ask for help I pretty much get sorry we can't do anything about it. But last Saturday I asked a petite blond woman, Allison I think? Maybe Alice? And she happily went back and cut me up the fruit and veggies I was seeking. Since she was happy to help me it makes me wonder if the other staff I have spoken with just didn't want to help me. I'm hopeful management will see this and figure out why they are not stocking the fruits and veggies. Please consider that some customers truly need access to already cut and cleaned fruits and veggies.

Well, I thought Montrose might be a little less expensive than Denver but boy was I wrong. I know Safeway is usually more expensive but wow, we went in and grabbed a few items, one bag of basically nothing much, and $80. I think they are charging resort prices here. Not many options, hoping Trader Joe's will open a Montrose store.

I can’t begin to say enough about the Safeway in Montrose. Not only are their employees absolutely stellar but their willingness to help local organizations is amazing. Do yourself a favor and order grocery pick up. Lory does an amazing job. I love this place!

This store has some strengths, not as crowded, some Safeway products are better than City Market. However, it's more expensive frequently out of things, they have past due products still on self or in produce section. Additionally notice due date is just absent all together. Have bought rotten food there even though I try to be very careful.

The absolute best meat department in town. Best meat prices in town. This is the ONLY place I shop for meat if given a choice. Produce is fresh and employees are always helpful. Five stars!
