Very informative and educational tour and tasting. Prices are also equivalent for the high quality products.
Storm King is a real gem. Their tasting room next door at The Association is next level with other vendors filling out the space to provide charcuterie, gelato and more. The team at The Association lined us up for an impromptu tour of Storm King's production area with their head distiller. Awesome experience, will definitely return.
For bourbon heads you will appreciate the craft and the heart behind all of the whiskey’s. Don’t the right way, not trying to take any short cuts. Just creating fabulous spirits!
Great cocktails, great environment. Definitely worth stopping in if you are in Montrose or on your way up to Telluride.
Simple. Delicious. Grounded.
David is Fantastic!!!
Decided to make a stop here for a quick drink since it was on the way to our hotel and we are so glad we did. Super chill vibes, bartender Erin was really cool, very knowledgeable, and made a delicious drink! Husband had the tasting flight, which he enjoyed, and we got to talk through his preferences. Learned about the bar and grill coming into the old coop (looking forward to that) and enjoyed the local company that came through. Drink local!
Super cool place and Bailey is hands down the best bartender in town
Fantastic cocktails and a highlight of our yearly trek to Montrose. We return every year for a reason and will continue to do so. Highly recommend
Stopped in for a whiskey flight; they have a nice bar, so we ordered a lemon drop (my wife's go-to drink). She said it was excellent! The whiskeys were also great. I don't drink much tequila, but their Agave Especial is aged in their whiskey barrels and I loved that as well. ?
Small operation but a lot of variety in spirits. I decided to stop in Montrose and have a drink - I saw a blood orange gin drink but was keen on whiskey. Not a problem, the bartender whipped me up a blood orange old fashioned.I also had an apricot rye whiskey cocktail, it was tasty to say the least. Don’t know a lot about Montrose but based on Google searches this is a very unique spot. I’d recommend checking them out if you enjoy a quality, reasonably-priced cocktail.
Storm King is a breath of fresh air in Montrose. Most of the selections in this town are regular blue-collar bars or subpar breweries. But Storm King crafts a great drink with either: bourbon, gin, whiskey or rum. Check out their specials on the blackboard or order a snifter of gin. Ya can't go wrong.I found a new place to hang out when I'm in town.

Friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, great whiskey!
SKDC created very flavorful liquors. Since we didn't want to finish our flights after having just hiked the south rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison, my sister and I each ordered a virgin mixed drink in which to put our favorite item. Fuzzy bunny for the win!

Great place to hang on the patio for sushi and great cocktails with my dog.
Great local made whiskey, tequila, vodka and rum. The drinks are excellent. You can see the distillery from the small bar and they have a sushi truck outside. I was a little disappointed I could not get a whiskey sour, but the old fashioned was a good substitute.
